This morning, J.J. Abrams brought a Rise of Skywalker clip to Good Morning America, where he also revealed that post-production on the film finished up only yesterday, and that a script actually ended up on eBay.
Two comics are coming this Wednesday, November 27: Doctor Aphra #39, which sees her captured and Star Wars Adventures #28, where Chewbacca’s Journey to the Rise of Skywalker tale continues.

The Knights of Ren show up in the latest Rise of Skywalker TV spot, which also includes new shots of Kylo, Poe, Threepio, the Star Destroyer space battle and a Sith trooper.
Empire has revealed two new photos over the weekend, one another shot of Finn, Rey, Threepio and Poe in the cave, and another of the Sith troopers.
A new poster has been spotted over in Germany. Big news here is that it contains a porg, the first sign that our smallest Last Jedi faves might make an appearance in the new film.
The cover for Rae Carson’s The Rise of Skywalker novelization has been revealed, and like The Last Jedi‘s, it takes design cues from an early poster – this time, the one revealed at Disney’s D23 Expo.
Also like TLJ, the novel will be coming out well after the movie – in March.
In an interview with Empire, Colin Trevorrow is fairly gracious about The Rise of Skywalker, and reveals that he was there when J.J. pitched bringing back Palpatine. Trevorrow was announced as IX director in August 2015 – before The Force Awakens was even out – so the two directors would certainly have crossed paths. He also revealed that he asked The Last Jedi’s Rian Johnson to include the moment where Poe and Rey officially meet.

Because the character was kept under wraps for so long, we’ve all been assuming there won’t be any Baby Yoda merch this year… But CNBC says some may launch as soon as tomorrow – and in fact there’s already a t-shirt on Amazon. But will there be a plush? Galaxy’s Edge has already improvised with the existing Yoda toys, but will it pass muster?

Today, Rolling Stone has an interview with The Rise of Skywalker director J.J. Abrams, who says the film is “the most challenging thing I’ve ever been involved in. By a lot.” Plus, a new photo! He also talks about The Last Jedi, co-writer Chris Terrio, the original idea behind making Rey the hero, criticisms of The Force Awakens, George Lucas and more.

The cat is out of the bag, and so this is the last post where I’m going to play coy at the big spoiler at the end of The Mandalorian’s first episode. I know the show isn’t available worldwide just yet, but keeping the very existence of what is clearly going to be a pivotal character secret is simply not feasible for a news site. Even the official folks have given up the ghost, and per usual I am taking my cues on what is and isn’t a spoiler from them. Consider yourselves warned!
