And the vintage trailer parade continues with a trailer for the 1981 re-release of Star Wars that added Episode IV: A New Hope to the opening crawl.Or may the ’78 re-release? The day’s not over, but this isn’t exactly a great sign for the theorists

Video: Genndy Tartakovsky’s Clone Wars
Not sure how long this is going to last, but it looks like you can now watch the entire run of Genndy Tartakovsky’s Clone Wars on Youtube. It’s unofficial, but with the DVDs out of print this may be your best chance to catch up.
The series of shorts, produced by Cartoon Network Studios, originally aired in three chunks between the releases of Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith from 2003-2005. They have received little attention from Lucasfilm since the more traditional The Clone Wars started in 2008.
Let’s hope they make the cut for the Digital Library
Video: 50 years of Doctor Who
This trailer for the 50th Anniversary special doesn’t actually contain any footage for the special, but it is a pretty fascinating watch for Who fans, a great tribute to the show’s half-century and various Doctors.
io9 has a close-up look at many of the trailer’s nod to Who present and classic.
Video: First teaser for The Empire Strikes Back
Last Wednesday @StarWars posted the first-ever trailer for Star Wars; today they posted the first teaser for The Empire Strikes Back, mostly composed of Ralph McQuarrie’s concept art.
Is it a sign? Maybe, maybe not. Furious Fanboys points out there’s only one Wednesday (for Revenge/Return of the Jedi?) between us and October 30th, aka the one-year mark of the original Disney sale/sequel trilogy announcement.
Whatever the case ends up being: Don’t get cocky, kid. It’d be nice, but how many times have we been burned by our own assumptions? I’ve lost count.
And Lucasfilm’s Matt Martin says:
