I was asked to create a CJ Youtube account at JadeCon, and I finally got around to it. No uploads yet, but lots of favorites from old posts and such. In the process, I came across this oldie but goodie, the ROTS trailer captioned in hacker-speak.

Okay. If you saw the trailer online before, nothing much has really changed. But MGM is putting this trailer into theaters, which means they’re really trying to get the hype rolling for the impending October 2nd air date:

Still not enough? Well, writer-producer Joe Mallozzi has all sorts of fun, nifty, behind-the-scenes stuff planned for his blog; including a Q&A with resident geek David Blue. (Get in your questions now.)
And then there’s the press blitz which has kicked off with some exclusive SyFy interviews with David Blue and Lou Diamond Phillips. Ming Na (who is also a major geek; especially for Star Wars) has also indicated that she’s been doing a lot of press.
Yes, for all of you loudly complaining about how you plan on boycotting SGU, you’re just going to have to avoid the media for a while. I’m pretty psyched, though, if I can just stay away from spoilers!
So, the movie that is supposedly going to change cinema forever basically looks like Ferngully meets Reboot (Totally 90’s-riffic! OR IS IT?) meets half-decent modern CGI. The next Star Wars? Stranger things have happened, but somehow I doubt it.

Two big ticket movie trailers in less than a day? Spring is nigh!
I’m not much of a prequel fan, but I still wasn’t all that enthusiastic about this documentary back when we first heard about it. While the basic idea hasn’t gotten any fresher in the last year, maybe it could end up being an interesting look at the love/hate phenomenon. We’ll see.
Okay, to be honest I’m not sure if it’s actually new, but I certainly haven’t seen it before. (via)
