Somewhere in space: @StarWars warns of Imperials, posts original ’76 teaser trailer as rumors fly

@StarWars again warned of ‘Imperial disinformation’ and posted the original ’76 teaser for Star Wars this afternoon, as fans continue to wait with bated breath to see if any Episode VII news is going to drop as rumored.

Meanwhile, Jedi News‘ Jedi Master SQL says we may see our first casting news on the 22nd, with announcements having been “held back” at Harrison Ford’s request, so he doesn’t get slammed with Star Wars questions as he’s doing press for Ender’s Game

Whatever really is happening behind the scenes, check out the ’76 teaser trailer below:

Trailer park special edition: Fall’s new genre shows

The TV stations held their upfronts last week, giving advertisers (and viewers) their first look at fall’s new shows. So your first trailer park of the week is devoted to genre and genre-ajacent TV show trailers.

Teaser: Star Trek Into Darkness

Yeah, it took me a few seconds to realize that it isn’t Patrick Stewart monologuing the voiceover, too. (Doesn’t sound like Benedict Cumberbatch, either… Does it?)

There’s a Japanese version with just a tad more footage at the end that you might find evocative of one of the older films…

Another ‘teaser’ trailer will apparently be coming along on the 17th, because that’s just how the industry rolls these days. (Sigh)

Teaser: The Last Airbender

This is the SuperBowl spot for the other Avatar, and the one I am actually kind of legitimately looking forward to now. (Needs more Zuko, but still.) Don’t you dare screw this up, Shyamalan. Watch it in HD and see if you can spot Appa. (via)

(Is that who I think it is on voiceover?)
