Assuming no other tragic circumstances bump it, the entertainment news show Extra! will be airing a behind-the-scenes visit on the set of this week’s episode Harmony.
Speaking of Harmony, Joe Mallozzi posted a behind-the-scenes video on his blog showing a small set-up and (of course) David Hewlett tormenting Jodelle Ferland.
Going back to last week’s episode, the official site posts interviews with episode writer Carl Binder and Katie Brown herself, Brenda James.
According to producer Joseph Mallozzi, it was nearly Rodney McKay and Katie Brown going down the parental road this season. They owe Rachel Luttrell big time for getting pregnant in real life!
Let’s face it. Our intrepid Mistress of the Web, Dunc, doesn’t get Stargate. And that’s okay, really. But I’m always excited when we’ve apparently seeped into her brain enough for her to find something for us. Warms my tiny little heart, it does!
Could you imagine wandering through a scrapyard and finding a bit of Stargate gold? Any guesses as to what this was used for? Let this blogger know.
Other treasures include:
Okay. Not really. But it was a nice alliteration and there is actually some news on Stargate SG1: Continuum to share. But mostly, this is a GateWorld round-up.
Head on over to GateWorld for:
Not to be outdone, the Stargate Atlantis part of the franchise gets coverage for:
I love going on vacation! I totally forgot to ask someone to fill in on the Stargate beat while I was gone. (Oh, well. The TexMex was totally worth it!) So let’s catch up on what I (but hopefully not you) missed:
Last year, Stargate producer Joseph Mallozzi posted a teaser poem for the New Year to, well, torment those of us in the US having to wait an inordinate time for new episodes.
After much hassle from the fans, he’s done it again. Let the speculation begin!
Now this is fun. Edit your own greetings into a video clip from Stargate Atlantis.
Other sci-fi fandoms should take note!
So I got a little busy to post all the nifty little Stargate gifts we got for Christmas week. (Such a slacker.)
The Official Site added a bunch of content including:
– Mitch Pileggi finally returns to the Pegasus Galaxy after far too long an absence
– The sneak preview for Be All My Sins Remembered
– An interview with Joe Flanigan and David Hewlett about The Wraith.
Over on GateWorld, we find:
– An interview with Jason Momoa (Jason Momoa. Chewbacca. Separated at birth?)
– News of the chance to become part of Stargate Worlds through a new contest
– Details for The Ark of Truth DVD
And finally, a round-up of Christmas greetings from Stargate cast and crew:
– Michael Shanks
– David Hewlett (yes…that’s me he’s mentioning)
– David Nykl
– Producer Joseph Mallozzi
Catching up on life in Gate circles, here are a few tidbits to enjoy:
– Dr. Keller’s romantic life – A video in which Jewel Staite confirms that there’s just a wee bit of stuff going on between Keller and Ronon in the second half of the season. (It’s a hard life to be an actress.)
– Jewel makes another video appearance on SciFi with the release of Part 2 of her fan Q&A. A little stuff for the Firefly fans in there, as well.
– And after being snubbed for the role of Scotty in the upcoming Star Trek film, it appears that Paul McGillion (Dr. Beckett) actually ended up getting a small role. I’m sure it had a lot to do with his skills as an actor, but probably just a wee bit to do with the outrage caused by his snub. Either way, congratulations to Paul! (via)
– An actual quote from Paul regarding Star Trek, as well as the bootleg promotional video from SciFi teasing his return in Season 4.
