Per usual, the Vanity Fair story on the upcoming Star Wars film – The Rise of Skywalker, the final episode of “the Skywalker saga,” the grand finale of all three trilogies, etc. – was chock full of information. Granted, most of it’s peicemeal, but that’s where we tiny fan blogs live, isn’t it? Let’s dig in.Continue reading “What we learned about The Rise of Skywalker from Vanity Fair”
As Episode IX wraps filming, director J.J. Abrams shares his second set shot from the film – and this time, it’s in focus! Daisy Ridley, John Boyega and Oscar Isaac – in costume – share a hug on location – presumably Jordan.
“It feels impossible, but today wrapped photography on Episode IX,” the tweet says. “There is no adequate way to thank this truly magical crew and cast. I’m forever indebted to you all.”Continue reading “Episode IX wraps, Abrams shares a cast hug”
Poe’s back as things continue to go downhill for Kaz, Team Fireball and the Colossus in ‘The Core Problem’, Sunday’s new episode of Star Wars Resistance. This time, they’re off to explore the Unknown Regions, because that’s something that has historically gone very well in this galaxy.
Poe and Kaz seek out an area of the Unknown Regions that their intel on the First Order is pointing to. After the unsettling discovery of multiple cored and broken planets, they must evade a series of First Order pilots in order to make it back alive.
The clip also reveals just how close the series has gotten to The Force Awakens. Check it out, plus more pics, under the cut.Continue reading “Star Wars Resistance heads to the Unknown Regions”
Last night, a poster on Reddit shared a set of small, blurry photos that claim to be costumes and concept art for Episode IX. I usually don’t post about Reddit leaks, but this one is big enough and looks like it could be possibly legit – they collaborate several other rumors, including another set of spy photos. I’m not posting the pictures, but basic details (without any descriptions or spoilers) and the link are below the cut.Continue reading “Rumor: Big Episode IX costume leak”
Poe, Leia and the First Order heavy-hitters return in this week’s “Station Theta-Black.”

“Station Theta-Black” will be available Sunday, December 9 on the DisneyNOW app and Disney Channel VOD at 12:01 a.m. PT, or airs on the Disney Channel at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT.
The next episode of Star Wars Resistance, “Signal from Sector Six,” sees Kaz off the Colossus and back into space with Poe Dameron. Here’s the description:

We see Poe Dameron, BB-8 and even a glimpse of Phasma. Here’s some more details from StarWars.com:
We’re also thrilled to bring you intel on the first episode! In the one-hour premiere “The Recruit,” Poe and BB-8 assign Kaz to the Colossus, where he meets a cast of colorful new aliens, droids and creatures. While undercover to spy on the growing threat of the First Order, Kaz works as a mechanic and lives with Poe’s old friend Yeager — a veteran pilot who operates a starship repair shop run by his crew: Tam, Neeku and a battered old astromech called Bucket.
“Can you imagine what it’s like to be an ace pilot?” Kaz asks.
Lucasfilm has also sent out the cast list with who’s playing who:
– Christopher Sean as Kazuda Xiono
– Suzie McGrath as Tam Ryvora
– Scott Lawrence as Jarek Yeager
– Myrna Velasco as Torra Doza
– Josh Brener as Neeku Vozo
– Donald Faison as Hype Fazon
– Jim Rash and Bobby Moynihan as Flix and Orka, respectively
– Oscar Isaac as Poe Dameron

The series was created by Lucasfilm Animation’s Dave Filoni. The Clone Wars/Rebels vets Athena Portillo, Justin Ridge and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles‘ Brandon Auman are the executive producers, with another LFL vet, Amy Beth Christenson, as art director.
The next Star Wars cartoon is officially announced, and it’s Resistance, set sometime before The Force Awakens. The “anime-inspired” series will star a character named Kazuda Xiono.
Xiono is “a young pilot recruited by the Resistance and tasked with a top-secret mission to spy on the growing threat of the First Order.” The series will also feature BB-8 and appearances by Poe Dameron and Captain Phasma, with Oscar Isaac and Gwendoline Christie reprising their roles.
With The Last Jedi home release imminent, several behind the scenes clips and featurettes have been released. There’s an interview with Andy Serkis on Snoke at Entertainment Weekly; Oscar Isaac, Carrie Fisher and The Slap at People; Daisy Ridley and Rian Johnson on Rey at E!.
