Reed has given the Celebration VI website a fresh look, including a few features that give fans input into the con. Be sure to do the programming survey – although I find it’s lack of book/comic content disturbing. (Seriously, can we get a formal track already?)

The full trailer for Brave – featuring Pixar’s first female protagonist, Merida, voiced by Kelly Macdonald – was released yesterday. It’s worth checking out the HD version as well.
Del Rey’s Erich Schoeneweiss annouced that the street date of Troy Denning’s Fate of the Jedi: Apocalypse – the final book in the series – has moved from April 3 to March 13. I normally don’t make stand-alone schedule posts for a single book, but with the gap between the last book and Apocalypse so large, even a 3-week date change can make a splash. (At least on a day when I’ve already posted an EUbits.)
Essential art. Del Rey’s Erich Schoeneweiss gave fans a first look at some of the art from The Essential Guide to Warfare. They include an “an ancient battle between the Rakatans and the Killiks” by Darren Tan, an OTish space battle by Paul Youll (who did the covers for the X-Wing novels), and a Dark Empire World Devastator by Stephan Martiniere.
Street date shuffle. Speaking of X-Wings, Schoeneweiss also gave us a solid date for Aaron Allston’s Mercy Kill: August 7. Our schedule has been updated.

Santa Maul is not a connoisseur of the comic periodical: As a man of taste, he prefers the ‘graphic novel,’ when he deigns to read things with pictures at all. For those who are not so sophisticated, he is inclined to report that Dark Horse will be having a Black Friday sale consisting of every digital Star Wars comic for the paltry sum of $100.
There was a beta of The Old Republic this weekend, and apparently it swayed at least one non-fan. Pherephassa of MMO Crunch admits right up front to not being much of a Star Wars fan, but the game impressed her anyway, particularly the story, a hopeful sign.
Coming out tomorrow is our second-to-last Star Wars novel of the year, Drew Karpyshyn’s The Old Republic: Revan.
