Del Rey, Dark Horse and LFL meet to discuss the EU future

Last week, folks from Del Rey and Dark Horse were at Lucasfilm to discuss future Expanded Universe projects. Frank Parisi shared a tease from Del Rey, and new editor Jennifer Heddle tweeted that she’s “Feeling very energized about SW publishing!” There’s also an interview with Heddle at Suvudu, though note it does predate the big meeting.

Hopefully this means we’ll be seeing more news trickling out in the coming months… The cupboard has been pretty bare lately!

Highlights of today’s chat with author Paul S. Kemp

The Star Wars Books Facebook page hosted a chat with author Paul S. Kemp this evening. Kemp is the author of last year’s Crosscurrent, The Old Republic: Deceived, and the just-released Riptide. Hunger Games trailer may be attached to Twilight

A Hunger Games fansite came across a flyer instructing projectionists to attach the Hunger Games trailer to The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn. While it makes perfect business sense to market Hunger Games to the Twilight audience, I’ve never been so thankful for the internet.

In other news, there’s a new photo of Jennifer Lawrence as Katniss Everdeen that, from her outfit, I’d guess dates from early in the film.
