It’s Friday, must be The Clone Wars

Padme gets a B-team rescue in 'Bombad Jedi'

Prepare yourselves, Clone Wars fans: ‘Bombad Jedi’ airs tonight. But there is hope – it’s scripted by Kevin Rubio of Troops and Tag and Bink fame.

More adventures in Holiday Special archeology

Holiday Special concept art by Ralph McQuarrie

The StarWars.com crew did some digging and unearthed several Holiday Special props and other detris – even an animatic reel of the cartoon. There’s also a handful of old articles – one on the art directors and concept art, kicking off with Ralph McQuarrie and an interview with Patty Maloney, who played Lumpawarrump, and Stan Winston on Wookiee makeup/costuming. And finally, learn to draw Chewie’s family.

Drive-by movie news: Twilight, Watchmen, Indy 5

Cedric didn't die, he just went homeOH SHIT IT’S A TWILIGHT ENTRY, GET IN THE CAR. The reviews are not good (43%!) for the preteen squee event of the year, but since when has that ever made a difference at the box office? At the very least, we can hold out hope that the movie is better than the book. Just remember, ladies: stalking is not romantic, even if the guy is hot (well, ‘hot’) and comes with a lifetime supply of built-in body glitter.

EUbits: Watson’s National Book Award, Karen Miller interviewed, KOTOR preview, Jacen Solo

New Star Wars pics at Heilemann’s

Michael Heilemann’s collection of Star Wars pictures is, as far as I know, unequaled online – and he just announced that he’s added “a couple of hundred” new images. Go forth and check them out.

(We’ve previously featured his McQuarrie and storyboard collections.)

I really wish StarWars.com would put out a simple, easily browsable selection of photos like this… Of course, that might mean they’d shut Heilemann down. Still, the popularity of these sets – you can’t go anywhere on the internet this month without seeing a link to the storyboard gallery – shows there’s plenty of interest for this sort of thing.

Gate Geek – It’s like a garage sale, but with staff weapons

So you’ve had two TV series and a new one on the way.  Your storage room is getting a little overcrowded.  What’s the first rule of organizing?  Purge, people.

And so it is that we have a new legacy auction running of Stargate SG1 and SGA merchandise from the Stargate productions storage room.  Apparently, over 100 items will slowly be going up.

This is really the stuff, folks.  Plus, you get Robert Cooper’s signature on your certificate of authenticity.

Won’t you look cool running through Dragon*Con with this stuff!
