Meanwhile, at the comic store Wednesday are The Star Wars #2 and a special #1 for $1 Star Wars.

Meanwhile, there’s also Dark Times: A Spark Remains #3 and the trade collection of the last Dark Times storyline, Fire Carrier.
In stores on Tuesday will be the perplexingly ‘educational’ National Geographic Angry Birds Star Wars.
Next week brings our final brand-new novel for the year, Martha Wells’ Razors Edge, first in the Empire and Rebellion series.

Upcoming. Has the new Essential Characters been pushed back to 2016? It looks like it, from what Knights’ Archive has discovered. Making room for Episode VII characters? They also spotted the first Rebels tie-ins, which are coming in August 2014 from Disney Press.
Kenobi. John Jackson Miller got some pixels at Publisher’s Weekly upon the occasion of Kenobi being a bestseller; He’ll be chatting with Star Wars Books next Wednesday. In the meantime, there’s a new interview at Knights Archive.
Review. James thinks Star Wars #9 has good revelations for Vader and Leia, but only meh on Han’s part.

Or, if you want the original Legacy series collected in hardcover, Book 2 will be out as well. Not sure which issues are in this one, but with both it and Book 1 clocking in at over 400 pages each, it’s gotta be a good chunk of the series.
Our next novel release is Razor’s Edge by Martha Wells (reviewed!) on September 24, with J. W. Rinzler’s massive The Making of Star Wars: Return of the Jedi looming on October 1.

Also note that Del Rey’s Star Wars FanCorps is now live!
Meanwhile, comic fans will have Star Wars #7 and the Purge TPB to look foward to on Wednesday.
Our next novel release will be John Jackson Miller’s Kenobi on August 27.

It’s also time for non-subscribers to start keeping an eye out for Star Wars Insider #142, which contains a few things of interest to us.
Meanwhile, our next novel release is the paperback for Aaron Allston’s X-Wing: Mercy Kill on the 25th.

Meanwhile, Brian Wood fans can look forward to Wednesday and the release of Star Wars #5.
Back to novel land, our next upcoming releases are the paperback reprint of Aaron Allston’s X-Wing: Mercy Kill on June 25, William Shakespeare’s Star Wars by Ian Doescher on July 2 and Troy Denning’s Crucible on July 9.

At your shops for Free Comic Book Day, Dark Horse has two free comic books, each containing several stories, and the all-ages book has the 2013 Star Wars tale written by Brian Wood with art by Ryan Odagawa. Entitled ‘The Assassination of Darth Vader’, Darth Vader finds himself in the sights of someone who wants him out of the way, and collateral damage is no issue. But what is Boba Fett’s role in this plot? Put both of Dunc’s favorite characters into one story, and she’ll explode with delight! Note that this book has a flip cover: one side has the Star Wars artwork by Doug Wheatley, while the other side has the cover for the Avatar: The Last Airbender story (and in the middle is a preview story for the upcoming Captain Midnight series).

Forthcoming. Jeffrey Brown, the author of Vader and Son and next week’s Vader’s Little Princess, told the Full of Sith podcast about his next Star Wars project, Jedi Academy. In a hurry? FOS co-host Bryan shares the relevant details.
Comics. Brian Woods’ Star Wars gets a new artist, Ryan Kelly, for the new arc that starts with issue #7. Meanwhile, Cosmic Book News interviews Wood.
Excerpt. Just a little one from Dawn of the Jedi: Into the Void.
Reviews. James is glad the action picks up in Star Wars #4 and thinks the story gets off to a fast start with a very intriguing foe in Darth Vader and the Ninth Assassin #1.

Our next novel, due in May, will be Tim Lebbon’s Dawn of the Jedi: Into the Void. However, we do have one schedule change to note: William Shakespeare’s Star Wars has moved up from August 6 to July 2.
