Solo posters go simpler for Brazil

A new set of Solo posters has turned up in Brazil, featuring the same artwork but without the title frame. It seems likely that this could be a reaction to the recent claims that the original design was (quite blatantly) based on a set of 2015 album covers from Sony – or it could be that the title down there – Han Solo – doesn’t lend itself to the original treatment. In any case, I wouldn’t be surprised to see future waves of U.S. posters more closely resemble these.

Meanwhile, another set of new images have shown up courtesy of Denny’s. Their Solo menu debuts April 3, but it seems we might get an earlier look.

Solo lowdown: New poster, Jon Favreau returns

Another one-sheet for Solo: A Star Wars Story has been officially revealed on The Star Wars Show, although it was actually spotted in theaters a few days ago.

Jon Favreau will be voicing “a very cool & important alien character” in Solo, per Ron Howard. This is his second time doing a GFFA voice – he previously played Pre Vizsla in The Clone Wars.

→ The official site has also posted all those new pictures from Entertainment Weekly – sans the annoying watermarks.

Head under the cut for a full look at that new poster.

Today in The Last Jedi: Who’s ready to jump in an X-wing and blow stuff up?

New footage spotted! A brief look at Kelly Marie Tran’s Rose Tico in action is a highlight of a spot for EDF Energy (okay…), while General Organa and Poe have a great exchange in a new commercial. (Another recent spot features new Finn footage!)

There’s also a great profile of Tran at Buzzfeed which is definitely worth a read. She talks about her background, Harry Potter, and Carrie Fisher in the gym. She teases that Rose has “has an interesting relationship with war.” She’s also one of The Hollywood Reporter’s Next Gen Talent picks.

There were also two big image reveals today: A new picture of Laura Dern as Amilyn Holdo came as part of a quick profile in Elle, and the IMAX poster in USA Today.

The Last Jedi: More porg art, latest leaks

Lucasfilm has blessed us with even more porg concept art by Jake Lunt. So expressive. I love them.

→ Leak watch: A new vehicle was spotted, and it reveals the name of the planet Canto Bight is on. (It’s a pretty goofy name, perfectly matched to a very looking vehicle, but that’s Star Wars for you.)

→ Also leaked – though I can’t even begin to tell you where exactly it originated online – is a new still of Carrie Fisher in Leia’s cape costume.

→ Making Star Wars shares some sketch recreations of two of the posters that Jason saw back around SDCC.

→ Much has been made of this John Boyega interview and his Carrie Fisher comments, but I do believe he’s speaking metaphorically. There’s another one over here, and also some Gwendoline Christie. Vagueness for all!
