Santa Maul is generally not partial to Star Wars merchandise featuring second-rate Sith hack Darth Vader, but he is greatly intrigued by this Musical Holiday Waterball found by X-Entertainment. Santa Maul’s l33t Sith research skillz find that the item was released in September, but now can only be found online at eBay. Santa Maul is unsure of the suitability of giving holiday-themed items for Christmas, but doubts that such a faux pas would result in disembowelment.
It’s hard out here for a blogger
I blogged about these Japanese USB drives back in 2005 – and so did Gizmodo.
Except this time we learn there actually is a Han in Carbonite model.
Artoo with ears
TFN finds the next Mimoco flash drive – R2-D2. Looks like there’s a Stormtrooper coming, too.
Most adorable things ever
Chibi Marvel figures at the Tokyo Hobby Show. Wasn’t there a Star Wars version of these at one point, or am I thinking Kubricks? (No, not the Burger King toys: These are way cuter.) In any case, I WANT SOME. Gentle Giant needs to go there. (via Fandom Lounge)
Pet costumes in the wild
Well, Cute Overload, not exactly the wild. Still, there’s a pug in a Vader costume and weiner dogs dressed up like bananas, can’t beat that.
Next Mimobot: Chewbacca
This time, the ears make sense. Okay, so maybe Wookiees don’t have adorable round little ears on the very top of their heads. Still, it’s the thought that counts.
Peanut butter t-shirt time
The infamous ‘Dark Lord of the Garden’ shirt is now available in kid sizes for youthful (or simply Ewok-sized) infringers. Also of interest: In Case Of Zombies.
Be the hit of the neighborhood
I implore you to dress your dog in a Star Wars costume for Halloween. Come on, they’re dogs, they feel no shame!
Star Wars flash drives to drop today?
Gizmodo reports that Mimoco is going to release a limited edition run of Darth Vader USB flash drives today. At $80 for 1GB and $170 for 4GB, they’re kinda pricey, though.
Next time they should offer a Han in Carbonite model. I’d pay $80 for the LOL factor alone.
ETA: TFN thoughfully cuts and pastes the press release.
ETA2: Order at Star Wars Shop.
Look sir – infringers.
Remember the Shepperton Studios Stormtrooper Armour? Well, it’s not authorized by a long shot – Lucasfilm sued them and won. Ouchies. (via TFN)
