EUbits: The Atlas, Dynasty of Evil, Holostar and… things

Essential Atlas: Suvudu has a multi-part video interview with Jason Fry and Dan Wallace about this week’s release… And if you still want to know more, there’s a live chat scheduled for September 2.

Darth Bane: Take a peek at the blurb and final cover for Drew Karpyshyn’s Dynasty of Evil. Let me mention again how very, very grateful I am to see John Jude Palencar back on cover duty for this storyline.

A Padawan’s Journal: Maya Kaathryn Bohnhoff on What Comes After Chapter One and Reality is in the Nuts and Bolts.

The blogside: Mandy considers Karen Traviss’ departure in the first of a four-part series.

EUbits: FOTJ audio, TOR’s Threat of Peace, Dark Horse one-shots & previews, Holostar

Fate of the Jedi: Hard up for something even after the panel video? Well, you can listen to an audiobook sample of Abyss at Random House now. Seems to be the same section we got a peek at in Omen. (Thanks to Zee Zee.)

The Old Republic. I’m pretty sure I missed blogging that the second part of the TOR webcomic is well underway. (The gaming is always the first to go.)

Dark Horse. Randy Stradley reveals the one-shots on the boards. (via) And also lost in the shuffle, several previews: The Clone Wars #8, Knights of the Old Republic #44, Legacy #39 and Dark Times #14.

Holostar. Maya Kaathryn Bohnhoff talks the title of her book… But no reveal of who the holostar is yet.

EUbits: Blood Oath, Invasion, Rebel Force, Insider and Matthew Stover branches out

The Blood Oath mysteryCannot predict now. Despite the reappearance of Elaine Cunningham’s Blood Oath in the Del Rey online catalog with a 2010 release date, we still don’t know if the book will make it to publication. Sue Rostoni said yesterday: “Can’t say yet. Still don’t have the entire manuscript.” (She also answers some questions about the Crosscurrent cover.)

  • Invasion. EU Cantina has an interview with Tom Taylor and Colin Wilson.
  • Holostar. Maya Kaathryn Bohnhoff on the Force and the light/dark divide.
  • Rebel Force. Randy Martinez talks about his covers for the Scholastic series.
  • Star Wars Insider. #111 has a Clone Wars cover (how novel!) and a peek at The Essential Star Wars Atlas. It’s due by the end of the month.
  • Authors. Matthew Stover is writing at least one God of War book for Del Rey, or at least that’s what several gaming sites are saying. There’s something in the Random House catalog at any rate.

EUbits: Rebel Force #5, Bohnhoff on droids, reviews and a Clone Wars comic preview

Rebel Force: The official site gives us our first look at book five of Scholastic’s latest series, Trapped. (Is anyone reading these? I keep forgetting they exist.) It’s due out in January.

EUbits: That Blood Oath thing, a FOTJ short, Bohnhoff on rollercoasters, Invasion, TOR

Zekk and Leeloo take a trip to FabiovilleBlood Oath in flux. The fan sites and forums are seeing some buzz about the strange vanishing of Elaine Cunningham’s whatever-happened-to-Zekk paperback from the various online catalogs and booksellers. (Last things we heard were a cover and a postponement.) It is rather mysterious, but I’m willing to wait this one out…

EUbits: Hyperspace fiction, Bohnhoff, Insider, book club and free Clones

The fiction is coming from inside the house! The latest piece of Hyperspace original fiction, ‘Death in the Slave Pits of Lorrd,’ is by TFN’s Adrick “TalonCard” Tolliver.

EUbits: Sansweet’s 1000, Random Clones, Bohnhoff’s plotting and something gamey

Nonfiction. Here we have the cover for Star Wars: 1,000 Collectibles. Steve Sansweet and Anne Neumann take us into the depths of Rancho Obi-Wan… Okay, maybe not the depths. Look for it October 1st.

Random. TheForce.Net has some random updates on upcoming books, mostly The Clone Wars kids stuff, which honestly I’m not even trying to keep track of. There is an episode guide that might be of interest to some.

A Padawan’s Journal. Bohnhoff on Plotting the Wily Star Wars Novel and First Impressions.

Games. Another Battlefront on the way. On that note, here’s the Threat of Peace web comic is now on #7.

EUbits: Bohnhoff, street date, Stover maybe

  • A Padwan’s Journal: Maya Kaathryn Bohnhoff writes about dealing with icons in her tenth entry.
  • Street date shuffle: Drew Karpyshyn’s Dynasty of Evil has moved up a week to December 8. Book release schedule is thatta way.
  • The blogside: Matthew Stover has updated his blog with news of some upcoming projects, including two more tie-ins. Now note, there’s nothing about them being Star Wars, but they certainly could be.

EUbits: The Clone Wars art book, Essential Atlas skips back again, Bohnhoff on Dash

First look: StarWars.com gives us a peek at The Art of Star Wars: The Clone Wars. I continue to wince at the appropriation of McQuarrie art in the name of designs based on those awful puppets. (Not that people were exactly Ralph’s greatest either, but if one must choose…) Your mileage may vary, but this is probably one Art of I’ll be sitting out for.
