Well, if they are announcing Star Tours at the D23 Expo on Sept. 13th, it’s going to be in the shadow of fallout from today’s huge news: What the mouse plans to do with Marvel Entertainment. And what this means for Universal Studios Orlando, which is currently operating several rides based on Marvel properties? (ETA: Nothing.) Will we be seeing Marvel weekends? All this and more as things develop…

The latest Fate of the Jedi novel has made the near-obligatory appearances on the bestseller lists: #6 for Publisher’s Weekly, #7 in The New York Times and #41 in USA Today.
Han Solo Adventures is a freeware “interactive fan fiction” game currently under development by Stacy Davidson. The video above doubles as a trailer and contribution the the Star Wars Uncut project. (via)

There really is something for everyone on Etsy. I’m prepping a few posts for next week, and I ran across a Luke and Mara Wedding cake topper. (What a post-ROTJ EU pairing has to do with The Clone Wars I have no idea.) The seller, Hildoom, also has a Yoda Birthday Cake topper for sale.

If only… io9 suggests swapping the writing staffs of The Clone Wars and the The Venture Brothers, which may be the only way to get me to cheerfully watch the former.
Star Wars Shop has a bunch of standard original trilogy costumes – your cheapie Hans, Lukes, and stormtroopers and et cetera – but perhaps the most horrifying? The Jabba costume. What self-respecting adult would wear this in real life? Sadly, I’m pretty sure there are several of you out there. And I demand photos.
Though I have to love that they picked the lost Backstreet Boy to model Luke, and one of the Hardy Boys for Han.

It’s clearly too soon for details or much speculation (not that that ever stopped anyone) but could the trade paperback status imply pictures? Or just something in the vein of Harry: A History? Either way, I’ll tune in.
(And of course it doesn’t hurt that the great Mary Franklin is involved! As long as cake stays out of it, anyway.)
His take on Star Wars brought the laughs and riled up the humorless fanboys of the world. We can only hope his take on Star Trek design will do the same.
Oh, internets. How won’t you endlessly entertain us? He’s also left negative reviews for Bride Wars and Frost/Nixon. Massive cudos to ‘Jar Jar,’ wherever he is. (via)
