It’s looking like Solo may be the first new Star Wars to lowball box office expectations. It’s taken in about $103 million domestically over the holiday weekend. The worldwide take is expected to be $148 million.
Rumor: The Boba Fett standalone, again?
Well. Okay.
This week’s standalone rumor has Logan’s James Mangold writing and directing a Star Wars standalone featuring Boba Fett. This is from The Hollywood Reporter and quickly doubled down by Variety – both industry trades, aka pros – so their sources are likely fairly solid.
Hondo, IG-88 join Qi’ra’s Forces of Destiny debut
The elusive Qi’ra Forces of Destiny short is live now, and it also features Hondo Ohnaka and IG-88.
The rest of S3 went up on May 4. All eight episodes will air tonight at 8:30 p.m. on the Disney Channel.

New York Magazine looks into the genesis and creation of Star Wars Kinect’s “I’m Han Solo,” perhaps the best Star Wars filk since Weird Al’s “The Saga Begins”.
I’m not joking. The song is amazing, and every time I hear it I love it more.
It did cause a lot of fanbros a great deal of distress back in 2012, to which I say: Suck it. If Star Wars can’t dance (as it always has), what can?
The Last Jedi will be on Netflix in June
The Last Jedi will arrive on (U.S.) Netflix on June 26, Buzzfeed reports today. Netflix has first-run rights to all Disney movies through at least the next year or so; 2016’s Rogue One was the first Star Wars film to hit the American version of the service last July.
Disney is expected to launch their own streaming service sometime in 2019. It’s still unclear how that may impact 2018 films like Solo.
