The Frenzy Page offers some screen captures from a bootleg copy of “Fellowship of the Ring” with hilariously bad translations.
My personal favourites are, “So, Mr elf, you will enjoy the specialty of the drawfs” and “By night fall the hill will swamp over with ox.”
Ah, the joys of language.
Today would have been JRR Tolkien’s 113th birthday. You can post a toast in honour of the Professor on the Tolkien Society website. Or just read what others have said.
Seems a fitting way to remember a great storyteller.

In other recent news, TFN claims that the soundtrack for ROTS will be out on May 3rd, 2005, and will include a bonus DVD.
Orlando Bloom is the male whose name was most frequently searched for on Google in 2004. And it wasn’t all my doing. I swear!
