Goodnight, SG-I

Stargate SG-1 has been cancelled. Honestly? I’m surprised it’s lasted as long as it has, because every year I think it’s over and it just keeps coming back anyway. Stargate Atlantis and (no doubt) many reruns will remain.

According to the article, it’s lasted longer than any “U.S.-produced sci-fi show. Ever.” Wow. Not even ST:TNG made it that far? Now I’m sad.

  1. ST:TNG, like Deep Space Nine and Voyager, lasted seven years. Poor Enterprise only made it to four.

  2. I’ll be impressed if they can pull off a new syndication deal to keep it going another season. And I’m not totally shocked that it was cancelled.

But I am annoyed at SciFi for doing it right after they tout the 200th episode. Plus, they haven’t given the show developers the time to really finish the show well.

The joys of life in SciFi Land….
