Details on Becker & Mayer’s Vader book

Eddie of StarWarsTimeline.com potted the title (Darth Vader: The Dark Lord and His Universe) and blurb for the upcoming guide on beckermayer.com:

Fully licensed with Lucasfilm, VADER will be the definitive book on the history, myth, and cultural impact of Darth Vader. From his early development by George Lucas in the original classic films, to the new legends created in comics and novels, to his appearances on everything from commercials to bedspreads, VADER will present a complete view of the character. This book will contain unique pieces both printed flat and removable, including never-before-seen concept sketches, rare promotional materials, early comic books, video games, action figures, merchandise, movie posters, and more.

We also learn that Pete Vilmur and Ryder Windham are authoring it. Becker & Mayer were responsible for 2007’s The Star Wars Vault, so this is sure to be good.

Amazon UK Deathtroopers blurb revealed

Mystery solved… The Deathtroopers UK summary was unapproved copy, Sue Rostoni says:

the folks in the UK got a bit carried away here… they posted unapproved copy. We had wanted to keep the DEATHTROOPERS Han/Chewie bit secret as they aren’t the main characters… we wanted a happy surprise. Ah, no surpises now.

The others? I think they’ll be taken down and replaced with approved copy.

So you can stop arguing, kids. (The official copy from StarWars.com is here.)

Another blurb from Amazon UK: 501st

Ewan at swbooks.co.uk spotted yet another blurb at Amazon.co.uk. This one is for Karen Traviss’ Imperial Commando: 501st. And in related news, Random House is now giving the book a release date of October 27, moving back from September 29.

Once again, remember these Amazon blurbs are unconfirmed information! And it looks like this one contains spoilers for Order 66, so it’s black-barred under the cut. Continue reading “Another blurb from Amazon UK: 501st

Fate of the Jedi: First Abyss blurb spotted

More new info spotted by Ewan of SWBooks.co.uk! Along with Deathtroopers, he spotted some brief Fate of the Jedi blurbs. The first, for Golden’s Omen, echos what we got in last week’s full copy from the official site. The other, for Denning’s Abyss (third book in the series) is all-new. Read it beneath the cut, but again, remember this isn’t confirmed information. Continue readingFate of the Jedi: First Abyss blurb spotted”
