And for the last day of Celebration VI – more photos! The Sunday edition of photos from Star Wars Celebration VI in Orlando. We’ve got some of the Rancho Obi-Wan Experience, Sunday’s Bounty Hunt, me in the Random House Audio booth, and hanging out after the close, and of course, random costumes and coolness.

Over one billion photos from Saturday have been uploaded to the Saturday album by the insomniac Jawa. Lots of exhibition floor photos, a few random celebrity sightings, 501st Photo Shoot, Dave Filoni at the Calling All Kids! screening, the Random House Audio panel, the Party Rock Cantina Shuffle flash mob group, and more. OK, not quite a billion. Video will come later, like of the flash mob. Like after Celebration.

Dunc has covered all the news, and I’m just the guy who takes the pictures. and organizes the Bounty Hunt puzzle hunt event at Celebration. So anyway, here’s some of the best of the photos. A couple months ago, the LIFE photo archive went up in Google, fully searchable. Plenty has been done with them since then, but it didn’t occur to me to look for Star Wars until today. There isn’t a ton there – the bulk of images that come up are from The Phantom Menace premiere – but there are a few things of interest, like Time covers, some vintage toy pics and this shot of Carrie Fisher, Alec Guinness and Mark Hamill at a party celebrating the tenth anniversary of A New Hope. You get about the same amount of shots searching for just George Lucas, and even more for Harrison Ford, but clearly Sir Alec wins. (Wait! Was it really a party for ANH? Now I doubt.) But perhaps most amusingly: Jar-Jar and Madeline Albright? Or Peter Cushing in Hamlet?

Off the fannish track, two of the more interesting uses I’ve seen around the web have been Jezebel’s The Way We Were features and Typophile’s book cover meme.

Gorgeous and often hilarious, Balakov’s (aka Mike Stimpson) Flickr stream is well worth your time. His Lego recreations of famous photographs have been making the rounds, but his Lego Star Wars set is a can’t-miss as well. In short? Just go.

Next weekend Lucasfilm’s head of Fan Relations will be joining the crowd at Disney World. He’ll be presenting The Clone Wars preview and signing copies of The Star Wars Vault.
