So we finally got the digital release news that’s been teased for months, and promptly the usual tedious ‘discussions’ of Special Editions vs. ‘originals’ broke out and let me tell you, as much as I would buy nice spiffy HD copies of the VHS/THX versions I grew up on, my patience with that shit is nil. Still, Bryan made me laugh, so four for you, Bryan.
Onward, to adulthood. Okay, not really.
The #IRS hotline actually has fairly pleasant hold music. Seems like it'd be more fitting to have #StarWars "Duel of the Fates" playing.

I'd never noticed this inversion before, between the beginnings of ANH and ROTJ (deleted scene). pic.twitter.com/oAcHRg9eEf

Everything I keep hearing from people in the know says STAR WARS EPISODE 7 is going to be something special. #ibelieveinjj

Daily reminder that Obi Wan Kenobi was in hiding for years under the name "Ben Kenobi."

I actually have a whole chapter in AFTERMATH where every character in the book loses a hand. Just a pile of hands. So many hands.

“Many #StarWars fans have argued about the color of Han’s coat on Hoth-“
I’m going to have to stop you, because my brain murdered itself

Celebrity exchange of the week
.@HamillHimself I wrote a letter inviting you to my 7th bday party, you didn't show. What gives? FYI letter may or may not have been sent.
— Adam Scott (@mradamscott) April 1, 2015
.@mradamscott is it too late to RSVP?
— Mark Hamill (@HamillHimself) April 1, 2015
.@HamillHimself hahaha HOLY SHIT this is amazing

The digital release
I saw the Lucasfilm logo pop up on TV and I got all excited because I thought they were about to show a Star Wars The Force Awakens trailer
— Omar Akhter (@Omar_Akhter) April 7, 2015
Best thing about that Star Wars digital release: shows Fox & Disney working together. Might be a precursor to an OT restoration/rerelease.
— Eric Vespe (@EricVespe) April 7, 2015
Disappointed that Empire of a Dreams, the best thing out of Lucasfilm for decades, is still missing from the line-up.
— Michael Heilemann (@Heilemann) April 7, 2015
Lapti Nek or Jedi Rocks? It doesn't matter. The point is that Jabba has terrible taste in music. Mission: Accomplished on both counts.

Celebration approaches
I am super pumped for STAR WARS Celebration. A year ago I never would have imagined being excited for any STAR WARS ever again.
— Devin Faraci (@devincf) April 6, 2015
It's super cool to change your mind, admit you were wrong, to grow and change.

Hardest part about packing so far, trying to figure out how to transform my Millennium Falcon Transformer.

This is how a bunch of R2 builders pack for Star Wars Celebration #SWCA (work in progress) pic.twitter.com/MhUcgM19fD

Some people took this as a Harrison Ford hint:

Meh.
The Expanded Universe
That is a 10,000 word day. AFTERMATH, draft one, is complete.
WOO HOO!
*tries to do cool Jedi moves*
*falls down*
*breaks hip*
— Chuck Wendig (@ChuckWendig) April 7, 2015
Though, looking back over the draft and all I see is one sentence, repeated:
ALL WORK AND NO PLAY MAKES R2D2 BEEP BOOP BEEPY TWEE
Uh oh.
— Chuck Wendig (@ChuckWendig) April 7, 2015
Earlier, sincerity:
This STAR WARS book? It's almost done, people. It's almost done! And I'm having a blast! Which probably means its terrible but WHATEVS.
— Chuck Wendig (@ChuckWendig) April 6, 2015
My greatest goal with AFTERMATH is, obviously, to tell a cracking good story — but a close second is to write something that FEELS like SW.
— Chuck Wendig (@ChuckWendig) April 6, 2015
To me, what "feels" like SW is best (lately) represented by the new cartoon, REBELS. That, to me, is pure, unfiltered Star Wars juice.
— Chuck Wendig (@ChuckWendig) April 6, 2015
I'm trying to write the STAR WARS book that lives inside the thermal detonator that is my heart.
I really hope everyone likes it.
— Chuck Wendig (@ChuckWendig) April 6, 2015
Maybe its the comforting familiarity of the era I've spent the most time with since '99 but Kanan #1 is my favorite of Marvel's new SW books
— Jesse Tschopp (@jrtschopp) April 1, 2015
I don’t mean to beat a dead horse, but if you’re not reading the new Vader comic, you haven’t lived. pic.twitter.com/qOugpR3amZ
— Black Llama (@MandyBu) March 29, 2015
Dudes, I don't need you to "explain" to me what HTTJ was trying to do. I've been reading the EU for 20+ years. I get it.
It still sucked.

Star Wars life
My 6 yr old daughter & friend were sitting on the floor quietly facing each other. I asked why "we're meditating to the force." #StarWars :)

You know the struggle is real when you can't figure out how to display all your Star Wars shit. #StarWars #GeekProblems
— Lauren Michelle (@ElleMichelle25) March 27, 2015
We have a new guy named Aniket starting and there's no way I won't slip and call him "Anakin" #StarWars #nerd

Snark
Can't believe the CW aired the new trailer for #TheForceAwakens a month early! Here's Luke watching a cat video. pic.twitter.com/A3ekwxcxO6
