Saturday night was the world premiere of The Last Jedi, but press screenings were held today – and the formal review embargo reportedly lifts Tuesday at noon. Until then, here are more (fairly vague) tweets.
As we’ve learned in the past few years, every new Star Wars movie is the best one when one sees it on premiere night. But the praise for The Last Jedi is particularly enthusiastic and even occasionally thoughtful. Will it hold? Too soon to say, but for now, this is what we’re getting… All that and the beefcake 411, under the cut.
That’s was… certainly something. But now that we have it, time to grab your tickets. Here’s some late-night analysis from Entertainment Weekly, Nerdist, Mashable and The Hollywood Reporter. Plus a brand-new Rian Johnson interview on Yahoo where he talks about Carrie Fisher, porgs and the spoiler no-fly list.
There’s also a new Trailer Council podcast, featuring Amanda Ward (Making Star Wars, Rebel Grrrl,) Chris Taylor (Mashable, How Star Wars Conquered the Universe,) Shana O’Neil (SYFY Fangrrls,) Kyle Newman (Fanboys,) Steele Saunders (Steele Wars,) Anthony Breznican (Entertainment Weekly,) and Holly Frey (Full of Sith.)
Head below the cut for… Tweets! Yes, really.
Yes, the galaxy far, far away has bathrooms. Doesn’t this information make you feel fulfilled? ANYway, we’re just days away from Celebration and those giant heapings of actual news, so please read these tweets before I procrastinate further. And a tiny bit of March. Because it’s not like much happened, right?
“Now I think that this would make for a fantastic obit—so I tell my younger friends that no matter how I go, I want it reported that I drowned in moonlight, strangled by my own bra.”
Because what else is it going to be about, today? Continue reading “All #RogueOne, all the time: Best #StarWars tweets for December 9-15”
This week we heard a lot – A LOT – about Rogue One. Some people saw some of it, there was some press stuff… You know the drill. Also, a thread about fan theories, books, and what does Rogue One know?
Well, that was certainly a month. Under the cut, you’ll find Darth Vader’s tube socks, a history lesson from Pablo Hidalgo on GFFA dating methods (fun!) and all the usual randomness. Plus: Rogue Two!
This month, we got our final Rogue One trailer, learned who our new Lando is, dealt with that Rey Mary Sue bullshit again, and basically tried to keep ourselves sane. (Is it working?)
