The Force Awakens trailer music wasn’t arranged by John Williams after all (but it’s still pretty great)
While the music in the latest trailer for The Force Awakens obviously uses John Williams’ original work from the previous Star Wars installments, it’s not a newly composed track from the composer, as many of us originally assumed. /Film digs in a little and comes up with a few names.

Instant The Force Awakens trailer reactions from James, Dunc and The Trailer Council
I was honored to be a part of The Trailer Council last night along with Tricia Barr (Fangirl Blog/Fangirls Going Rogue), Justin Bolger (The ForceCast), Dan Zehr (Coffee With Kenobi), Nanci Schwartz (Tosche Station), Bethany Blanton (The Star Wars Report), and Mark Newbold (Jedi News/Radio 1138), hosted by Full of Sith’s Bobby Roberts. We started recording this 10/15 minutes after the drop, and I wasn’t entirely with it yet (NEWS MODE) but it was fun! (Last night’s reaction actually came a bit after that.)

Video: James unboxes the past week in Star Wars
I’ve got a new Unboxing Star Wars video up, with Yowie and I looking back at this past week in the world of Star Wars, with Star Wars Reads Day, the start of the new season of Rebels, some more Journey to the Force Awakens books, and of course we talk about the new poster for The Force Awakens.

J.J. Abrams was recently part of a Vanity Fair talk with producer Brian Grazer and Apple’s Jony Ive. In addition to telling the story of how he turned it down at first yet again, he also confirms that he has final cut on The Force Awakens – although Disney being Disney, the contract would allow otherwise.
He also praises the Disney folks, saying “I cannot say enough about how Bog Iger and Alan Horn have understood this thing that is now part of the Disney company. And they’re not trying to Disney-fy it, they’re not doing anything other than, I think, an incredibly smart thing, which is letting Kathleen Kennedy — who is a remarkable person and producer — run and lead Lucasfilm to a place where I think it wants to go. They let us make the movie we wanted to make.” (via)
Video: New trailer for Star Wars Rebels S2
The latest trailer for season 2 of Star Wars Rebels has debuted! We do learn a bit about Sabine, and meet an old ally of hers – although given some of Dave’s comments, I don’t think the new character is someone who had a speaking role on The Clone Wars.
The trailer first showed up on Tumblr and was taken down, but reblogs are forever.

Yowie the Skunk, Baby Jawa, and Jawajames are back with another Unboxing Star Wars video! This time, we check out a BB-8 shirt, dive into the Journey to the Force Awakens book, Moving Target: A Princess Leia Adventure by Cecil Castellucci and Jason Fry, and also talk about what was cool in the world of Star Wars at Salt Lake Comic Con!
