Pablo blogs the Legacy of the Force panel
Stuff’s gonna blow up! Okay, we now know that book 6 will be Inferno, Karen Traviss’ Leia is quite snarky, and you crazy Jaina/Jag kids shouldn’t give up hope.

Random Character Patterns
Sue Rostoni has posted a character list for Denning’s Tempest, third book of the Legacy of the Force series. This is not the Dramatis Personae, just a quick list without species or affiliations.
ETA: Apparently this was just a rehash of the Personae list from Betrayal, because the original was incomplete. Sigh.
Adventures in Audiocasting
Latest audiocast (Hyperspace members only) is a look at Star Wars publishing and an interview with Troy Denning.
Mostly it’s a short interview by Jacob Bronstein, executive producer of SW audiobooks, with a few clips from the Dark Nest audiobooks.
Troy talks at length about the Killiks – from inspiration to whether he’s really a bug-lover; putting characters in mortal danger (surprise suprise, he enjoys it;) and who he considers the coolest characters. (The answer may surprise you.)
Overall, the interview was interesting enough. I could really have done without the audiobook clips, though. I can’t stand the things: they get way too melodramatic, and the heavy descriptive passages read outloud are… vexing. I don’t know if this series will be worth getting Hyperspace for, but if you have it already, it can’t hurt to try. Especially if you have a much higher audiobook tolerance than me.
Leaked Tempest
Hot on the heels of the Bloodlines preview, JacenSol0 on the TFN boards found what’s believed to be the jacket text for Troy Denning’s Tempest, the third book of Legacy of the Force, on U.K. bookstore site.
Because this is a lot more detailed than the previous blurbs, I’ve spoilered it. Highlight the text in the box below to read:

This thing of darkness
An early look at the cover for Allston’s Betrayal, the first book in the Legacy of the Force series.
Word on the street says that’s Jacen on the cover, and with “the legacy of the Skywalkers may come full circle” bit… Well.
Also on the boards today, word from Sue Rostoni on the third book of the Legacy series – it’s Tempest by Troy Denning.

The Unseen Queen cover
The cover of the second Dark Nest book, The Unseen Queen, has finally been released for real. And naturally, jacket copy:

Dark Nest and Outbound Flight
Catalog descriptions for the entire Dark Nest trilogy have appeared on the starwars.com boards and confirmed as correct by Sue Rostoni. She also posted a short excerpt from the pages of The Unseen Queen. In the hopes of keeping this post brief, I’m just going to link you the post I made in Livejournal’s EU community to actually read all the stuff.
In other news, Paula noticed on the CJ list that the release date for Dark Lord was actually supposed to be for Tim Zahn’s Outbound Flight. The date swap has also been confirmed by Rostoni, so expect new Zahn in January 2006.
Dark Nest hints
And in the sea of prequel news, we get a small peek at the EU future… Sue Rostoni posted a bit from the cover copy of The Swarm War, first book of Troy Denning’s Dark Nest Trilogy:
