Helmets don’t lie: The tragic love of Vader and Fett

asyouwish.jpgWhat’s up with Darth Vader and Boba Fett? On the Serious Fan With Serious Knowledge front (HA!) I don’t really know/retain, nor honestly do I care, being someone who thinks Fett might just be a wee tiny bit overrated (shocking!) but I can tell you one thing: I made an icon about them once.

Seriously now, it’s a hilarious blog and will make you laugh without borrowing funny from The Princess Bride. Read it. (via SF Signal)

Nitpicking Star Tours

In-World Inconsistencies That Render Disneyland’s “Star Tours” Attraction At Best Inaccurate And At Worst Downright Apocryphal.

The posters advertising a “tour” to Yavin are somewhat inaccurate, as Yavin was actually a gas giant, and the Rebel base was on Yavin IV, one of the moons. Duh. They also feature a shot of Luke on a tauntaun on the poster for Hoth, as well as shots of Bespin, but the ride itself renders that nonsensical, since the tour clearly takes place during the Battle of Yavin, before the Alliance relocated to Hoth or anyone went to Cloud City. Again: Duh.

From the Blogside

Mike of the blog Mmmm has, for the past month or so, posting about Star Wars and reviewing the saga. Going chronologically, he rolls through The Phantom Menace, Attack of the Clones, Clone Wars, Revenge of the Sith, A New Hope, the Holiday Special, The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi.

I’ll give the guy credit – he takes a mostly even-handed approach to the saga (even the Holiday Special – we all know it’s exactly that wretched, though he pans the Ewoks more than I think is necessary.) But, overall – a good read.
