This Wednesday, December 5 brings three new comics and a trade. Marvel is launching Age of Republic: Qui-Gon Jinn #1, the first of a 30-issue series that will eventually evolve into Age of Rebellion and (as we approach Episode IX) Age of Resistance. There’s also Star Wars #58 and Poe Dameron Volume 5. And from IDW, Destroyer Down #2.
Star Wars out this week: Solo on Blu-ray
This week’s big release is, of course, Solo: A Star Wars Story on Blu-ray Tuesday, September 25.
On the comic end of things on Wednesday, September 31, we’ve also got Poe Dameron #31, the final issue. There’s also Doctor Aphra #24 and Star Wars Adventures #14.
But there’s something I missed last week that you can get your hands on – a new version of The Complete Visual Dictionary, quite literally the “new edition,” a title quirk which I’m sure will age well. (The last actual Visual Dictionary was released in 2006, but there was a new Visual Encyclopedia in 2017. The main difference seems to be that the Encyclopedia covers “more than 3,000” items, while the Dictionary boasts “more than 1,500”.)
Star Wars out this week: Lando, Poe
Three new comics and two adaptations are coming this Wednesday, August 29. From Marvel, look for Lando: Double or Nothing #4 and Poe Dameron Annual #2 (variant). Meanwhile, all-ages imprint IDW has Star Wars Adventures #13 and adaptations of The Last Jedi and A New Hope.
Star Wars out this week: Beckett, Poe
This week brings two comics for Wednesday, August 15: The Solo one-shot Beckett (with two variant covers) and Poe Dameron #30.
Out this week: Star Wars, Vader Annual
We’ve got three new comics and an old (very old) trade collection coming on Wednesday, July 18. They’re Star Wars #51, Darth Vader Annual #2, Poe Dameron #29 and the Legends collection The Original Marvel Years Volume 3.
Fans attending San Diego Comic Con later this week have a shot at getting two exclusive editions of Timothy Zahn’s Thrawn: Alliances a few days early. The standard edition will be out on July 24. (We’re also expecting book news out of the con on Friday.)
Marvel’s Poe ongoing ends in September
Marvel’s Poe Dameron ongoing is due to end with issue #31 in September, per that month’s solicitations.
“In this final chapter of the POE DAMERON series, we see what may be BLACK SQUADRON’S last mission, as they desperately attempt to find allies for GENERAL LEIA ORGANA’S decimated RESISTANCE,” the blurb says. So perhaps we’ll see what the “missing” pilots from The Force Awakens were up to during the events of The Last Jedi?
“This is about the story ending in a nice, tidy place based on everything else happening” in Star Wars, writer Charles Soule tweeted.
Star Wars out this (and last) week
We’ve got one comic and one collection coming out on Wednesday, June 20, plus two comics from last week. (Since I missed last week’s release post… Hey, JadeCon.) This week brings Poe Dameron #28 and Star Wars Adventures Volume 3. Already in stores are Thrawn #5 and Darth Vader #17
Star Wars out this week: More of Poe’s TFA adventures
One comic and a trade will be waiting in the comic shops on Wednesday, May 16. Poe Dameron #27 continues the story of the character’s offscreen adventures in The Force Awakens, this time with the just-past-The Last Jedi framing story focusing on Leia. See the preview under the cut. This week’s trade is Poe Dameron Volume 4, collecting #20-25 as well as Annual #1.

Star Wars out this week: Han and Lando in Last Shot
It’s a noteworthy week for releases, with the year’s first all-new novel and a comic that takes us – very briefly – into shouting distance of The Last Jedi.

Star Wars out this week: Thrawn #1
Coming to the comic shops on Wednesday, February 14 are three new comics and one collection. The debut this week is Thrawn #1, the first issue of an adaptation of Timothy Zahn’s 2017 novel by Jody Houser and Luke Ross. It’s joined by Darth Vader #11, Poe Dameron #24, and Star Wars Adventures Vol. 2.
