Get out your Hollywood fashion tape, Anakin and Padme fans: ‘Senate Spy’ is now streaming on StarWars.com.
The Clone Wars: Padme goes undercover in ‘Senate Spy’
I’m sure those crazy kids will make it work! (Seriously, how does that place not amplify sound like crazy?) In any case, it’s time to preview Friday’s ‘Senate Spy.’ And yes, there’s another clip:

The fandom minute: Han’s secret shame, Simon Pegg’s fanfic, Artoo in D.C.
Holiday Special week fallout: Han Solo’s little-known furry roots glommed on by internets, many bad jokes (and debate?!?) ensue.
Better a Wookiee than a Selonian, I guess. (We’ll leave them to Corran.)
- Fanfic: Simon Pegg wrote some. No, for real.
- Appearances: Guess who showed up at the re-opening of the National Museum of American History? Artoo! We never would have guessed he was so patriotic. (Thanks, Stooge!)
- Lists: Topless Robot is on a roll with Five reasons Padme is a complete idiot. (Dude, I keep sayin’…) and the ten biggest robot bastards.
- Gaming: The problems inherent in Lego Star Wars.
Today in The Clone Wars: All for ‘shippers
Looks like Anakin and Padme fans will be happy with tomorrow’s episode, ‘Destroy Malevolence:’ Catherine Taber, who voices Padme, has a few comments on the character and the secret relationship.
Meanwhile, over at TFN, the ForceCast has a roundtable on the first three episodes.
The Clone Wars: Malevolence continues…
The official site has posted a brief shakedown for episode 4, ‘Destroy Malevolence,’ a new webcomic, ‘Ambush,’ and the teaser video.
Top nine badass Star Wars women, again
Not all that impressed with the Bettie list? Gabri Jade polled her friendslist to create a new one.
Star Wars Halloween costumes: Trick or treat?
Back-to-School season is winding down, which means that on the retail calendar it’s time for Halloween! So of course StarWarsShop is selling costumes, including licensed sets of Vader and Stormtrooper armor that will set you back a thousand bucks. But most of them – including Jedi/Sith gear, kids stuff, and Plo Koon – sell for a more reasonable $40-75.
I do find it a tad amusing that Slave Leia and Geonosis Padme come from a line called ‘Secret Wishes.’ Presumably the baby oil is not included. For women who want to go a little more covered up, there’s also Asajj Ventress, plus Ahsoka for the younglings.
Star Wars ladies who won’t hesitate to kick your ass
Bettie Magazine counts down nine badass Star Wars women, including several from the Expanded Universe. It’s not particularly hard to guess who rightfully takes the top spot. (via)

” I wanted to show that this poor guy is trapped by shadows, and she’s stuck in the light. And the hand that reaches out to touch her isn’t even a human hand anymore” – Iain McCaig

In the news: While we were squeeing…
- Jedism: Charlotte Church gave the Jedi church people £5,000. Seriously, stop encouraging them already.
- Lists: Anakin and Padme make Yahoo’s list of ten most mismatched movie couples. On the plus side, Yahoo does put in a good word for Boga.
- People: Might as well face it… Scarlett Johansson and Natalie Portman are addicted to love. No, seriously, it’s a little disturbing. I forsee a lot of bad Darth Padme manips in this spread’s future.
