Star Wars out this week: Rogue One and assorted accessories

Well, there’s a movie out this week. Whether you see it first thing Thursday night or wait for the weekend, know one thing: The Rogue One books are out on Friday. Namely, the novelization by Alexander Freed (eBook only,) the Rogue One Ultimate Visual Guide by Pablo Hidalgo and The Art of Rogue One. I haven’t seen any of them yet, but based on prior experience I say get the Visual Guide first.

For those looking for a different sort of prequel, there’s Poe Dameron #9 on Wednesday.

It’s been 20 years of StarWars.com

In the latest Star Wars Show, it’s been 20 years of StarWars.com. The site itself has a nice oral history, and on the show there’s a chat with Pablo Hidalgo and Lynne Hale.

Fun fact: One of the reasons I started this blog was that a lot of Jaders weren’t keeping up with news on the official site. Also, I was a message board moderator there, for some reason. Never again.

But seriously, the official site has been a boon to fans, and I’m very happy that it’s continued to grow and change. Happy 20 years, StarWars.com!

Out this week: Star Wars Propaganda

We’ve got an interesting item out Tuesday: Pablo Hidalgo’s Star Wars Propaganda: A History of Persuasive Art in the Galaxy. The book is written from an in-universe perspective and features brand-new artwork, including “ten removable art prints.”

On Wednesday we have Star Wars #24, Poe Dameron #7 and volume 1 of the Legends collection of the original Marvel Star Wars run. Also keep an eye out for Star Wars Insider #169.

Our next book, due out on November 15, is the Rogue One novel Catalyst by James Luceno, which will give us some background on Orson Krennic and Galen Erso. (The first excerpt dropped last week.) Check out our book release schedule for more.
