Falcon, X-wing spotted on location?

spoilers-swirl-bespinA simulations engineer spotted what looks to be part of the Millennium Falcon and a ‘disguised’ X-wing while flying over a former Royal Air Force station in Berkshire. (The BBC spoke to the photographer, Matthew Myatt.) This may be where that earlier report of sod comes in… (via)

It looks like the X-wing may be parked in front of what used to be a missile silo. Scroll down to the second set of pictures on the Greenham Common page at bunkertours.co.uk to see something that looks likely, as well as some more information on the site.

UPDATE: And it seems there’s more than one X-wing.

Rumor: Modelmakers at Pinewood under contract for 7 years, space booked for Indy 5?

The Millennium Falcon under construction (for ESB)

SEQUEL TRILOGY RUMORS: Take seriously at your own risk. And here’s another from Den of Geek this morning, which at the very least seems/feels slightly more probable than the last one. They report that there’s been a clampdown on the Pinewood prop shop, but that the modelmakers are working on a Millennium Falcon (as frequently reported and possibly proved) and lightsaber hilts. The modelmakers also supposedly have seven-year contracts covering the new trilogy and three spin-offs.

They’re also reporting that the planning office has a listing for an Indiana Jones 5, which wouldn’t be all that surprising giving Disney and Paramount’s announcement regarding the franchise in December.

Did Lucasfilm just give us our first (fuzzy) look at Episode VII concept art?

An Episode VII production meeting?

Lucasfilm.com relaunched yesterday, and an eagle-eyed Justin LaSalata noticed that the lead photo on the production page – a meeting featuring Kathleen Kennedy and maybe (far right) John Knoll – shows what’s probably concept art for Episode VII that includes what looks like the Millennium Falcon, a mountainous location, an X-Wing pilot and maybe even an older Luke? (Or, maybe, ghost Obi-Wan on Dagobah in Return of the Jedi?) Look closer:

An Episode VII production meeting? (Close up.)

The Falcon appearing is pretty much a given at this point, but this is the first thing we have officially that even hints at it. Of course, it could all be for something else…

There’s also what looks like a few new – or at least better quality than we’ve seen – images of the Ghost on the Rebels page.

Rumors: More on Disneyland’s Star Wars hold, The Clone Wars, and spinoffs

vader-kingarthurDisney Parks. TheForce.net has a source that disagrees with the earlier MiceChat report that Disneyland’s Star Wars plans were put on hold due to budget concerns. While there is a hold, they say that it’s due to Episode VII. “They didn’t want to build attractions/a land without including the new movies,” the source says. “So since the teams don’t have a final script they can’t add anything from the new movies.”

Rumors. In their latest Q&A, Jedi News and Jedi Master SQL discusses The Clone Wars and spin-off films. For Clone Wars he echos the earlier reports out of Poland, but adds that they will be “non-sequential episodes.” The iOS app may no longer be in the picture, but there will be an “online digital distribution model” that will include far more than just TV episodes (“films, books, comics, and online web content.”) As for the first standalone, he doesn’t see how they can get it out for 2016, but we may hear about the director and producer as early as next week. He’s also still stuck on Benedict Cumberbatch.

No. This doesn’t seem to have much traction yet aside from some random folks on Twitter and Tumblr, but beware folks using Cédric Delsaux’s ‘The Falcon’s Hiding Place’ as being the Episode VII Falcon. The original image (third from the right on the second to last row of Delsaux’s official gallery) was taken in Dubai in 2009.

Rumors: Millennium Falcon ready to land at Pinewood?

Rumor. The Millennium Falcon is always a safe bet, so naturally there have been some scattered reports that it’s in construction for Episode VII. And Wednesday Scum and Villainy reported that a full-scale set has been built off-site and is ready to move into Pinewood. Making Star Wars is rightly skeptical, but with countless Star Wars films in the future – not to mention possible theme park attractions – it may just be a wise investment.

Gaming. Also a rumor: Kotaku thinks there’s “an open-world Star Wars title,” in the works at EA Canada.

Box office. The Warcraft movie has moved out of the range of Episode VII to March 2016. Is Warcraft even still a thing?

Rumors: ‘A New Dawn’ title, Millennium Falcon set kicking around again for Episode VII

Lando, Han and the Falcon in ROTJ

FRYSQUINT: SEQUEL TRILOGY RUMORS: Take seriously at your own risk.We first heard last year that A New Dawn was a possible Episode VII title, but now it’s come up again, via newbie rumormonger TalkBacker. More interesting perhaps is this:

“… yes the falcon will make a big appearance, 1.1 scale size cross section is being constructed over at Pinewood, along with a power plant set and the famous cantina.”

The Millennium Falcon is pretty much a given if Harrison Ford signs on – maybe even if he doesn’t – but the cantina? Hrm. As always, I remain skeptical, particularly of the title bit. But whatever Episode VII turns out to be named, I don’t expect we’ll hear for a while.
