Disney Star Wars Weekends ahoy!
This Friday sees the first of several Star Wars Weekends at Disney World in Florida. The 501st will be there, as will several Star Wars celebs, and (of course) plenty of merchandise, like the crossover figures featured on the official blog today.
Wacky merchandise of the day
…Fishing tackle? Is this a new low? On the up side, I’m not actually finding a store link for these things, just an item on TFN, so maybe it’s a faker? (via)
Previews chock full of The Clone Wars
Get your fill of advance solicitations from the latest issue of Previews. Check out the scans at Rebelscum or swing by your local comic store to pick up a copy.
Oh, and some confirmation that the Traviss mystery hardcover is indeed the novelization.
“LED Light Rod” lets you playfight on the cheap
DealExtreme’s Signaling LED Light Rod Keychain is only a mere $1.99, but promises minutes of unlicensed under-the-radar fun. Or not. (via)
Wacky (and maybe fake) merchandise of the day
Artoo projector ultimate in crazy techno gadgetry
If you happen to have $3000 just laying around, it’s your lucky day: Nikko’s R2-D2 Digital Audio and Video Projector is finally available. (via)
Star Wars t-shirt roundup, just in time for spring
These aren’t authorized (well, maybe the ThinkGeek one) or otherwise legally kosher, but that’s the risk you take, isn’t it? Enjoy!
- ThinkGeek’s Cantina Band is a bangin’ salute to both the Modal Nodes and 80’s rock tees.
- Make the children cry with GlennzTees’ Scrap Metal.
- A more instructive Artoo tribute from Red Bubble: R2 Manual.
- Noisebot has an exhausting selection of pop culture tees, but here’s two that have yet to wear out their welcome: Celebrity Sword Fighting Championship and Dark Side (Of The Moon).
Missed The Clone Wars trailer?
Gizmodo has the leaked Polish Clone Wars trailer that was wiped off the rest of the internet within mere hours on Saturday. How long will it last? Do LFL and/or WB lawyers patrol the internet at night? Click and find out…
In less C&Dable news, they’re also geeking out over some new Millennium Falcon toy.
Japan shows us up again
Tonight on StarWars.com, a look at Japanese Claw Machine Prizes. I believe I’ve seen some of the stuff (lightsaber TV remotes and lamps, the pillows above) in U.S. stores (or Thinkgeek) but much of it is all-new.
