Now you can buy a print or t-shirt of the Ironic Sans ‘A New Hope’ mashup! Steve Sansweet has one! (via)
Order Marc Ecko Star Wars hoodies and tees online
This can’t be good for anyone’s pocketbook, but hey: They’re both cheaper and (slightly?) more socially acceptable than most of those fancy collectibles. Above, Fett and Stormtrooper hoodies: Gizmodo has a discount code.
Topps bringing back art card sets
Well, this is a flashback I can live with: Topps is bringing back the Star Wars Galaxy line, the all-artwork line that originated back in the 90’s. At one point I even had a full set of Series 3, and I’m still using the extras as bookmarks to this day. Look for Series 4 in February.
Weird merchandise of the day: 80’s deco Leia
A limited edition print of Leia in the style of the 80’s favorite artist, Patrick Nagel. Honestly? I’m a little creeped out, and find myself with a strange urge for a corned beef sandwich. (Back in the 80’s, my parent’s favorite deli had a Nagel theme.)
Adorn your estate with everyone’s favorite Sith
StarWarsShop has a limited edition Darth Vader bronze sculpted by Lawrence Noble on sale. For a mere $18,000, one of thirty 4-foot tall Vaders could be yours to love, cherish, and seize command of the neighbor’s lawn gnomes.
Saving Superman
There is injustice in this world. Most notably, there is the total state of disrepair of the house where Superman was created. So it is that a charity is born: The Siegel and Shuster Society.
Not only do they hope to raise funds to revive the home, but they also hope to become a group that encourages random acts of kindness.
So if you can’t scrape up enough dough to help restore the home, you can make Superman proud by doing something kind today.
Up, up and away!
Star Wars Halloween costumes: Trick or treat?
Back-to-School season is winding down, which means that on the retail calendar it’s time for Halloween! So of course StarWarsShop is selling costumes, including licensed sets of Vader and Stormtrooper armor that will set you back a thousand bucks. But most of them – including Jedi/Sith gear, kids stuff, and Plo Koon – sell for a more reasonable $40-75.
I do find it a tad amusing that Slave Leia and Geonosis Padme come from a line called ‘Secret Wishes.’ Presumably the baby oil is not included. For women who want to go a little more covered up, there’s also Asajj Ventress, plus Ahsoka for the younglings.
Pottery Barn throwing parties for Star Wars
To celebrate their new line of Star Wars bedding and accessories, Pottery Barn Kids will be holding in-store events in 78 stores throughout the U.S. and Canada on Saturday, September 13th. They’re even donating $15,600 to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital on behalf of the 501st, Rebel Legion, Jedi Assembly and the R2 Builders.

The Clone Wars Happy Meals incoming
Our first official (or at least unblurred) look at the new McDonalds tie-ins is here – I assume they start next week? And they actually are bobbleheads. Oh, McDonalds. (via)
