EUbits: Fun with faux castings, looking for ‘Sith,’ Atlas endnotes, Bohnhoff’s alien homework

Let's see, we need someone who can pull off mall hair...Winceworthy. Geekdad’s Lonnie Morgan gets a bit too into reading Star Wars novels and celebrates by inflicting yet another round of fantasy casting upon the internets. (I dislike this kind of thing: They all tend to come out in fail.) There’s also a poll on which (if any) EU series/era you’d like to see come to the screen.

Lost Tribe of the Sith: Sue Rostoni gave a tentative date of February 9th for the next installment of the Fate of the Jedi tie-in ebooks. That’s about a month before the fourth book, Allston’s Backlash, is due out.

The blogside: Dan Wallace and Jason Fry continue with their Essential Atlas endnotes; Maya Kaathryn Bohnhoff on dealing with aliens.

Podcasts: Thursday’s EUCast (7pm EST) will focus on Mara Jade.

Comic previews: Invasion #3, Knights of the Old Republic #45, and The Clone Wars #9.

Gaming: A 20-minute video walkthrough of The Old Republic MMO.

Also for free: Lost Tribe of the Sith eBook

lost-tribe-1UPDATE: And it’s up on StarWars.com.

I really really hate linking directly to PDFs, but since Borders themselves are loath to give it an actual product page, instead just tossing it the sidebar on their Sci-Fi page , here it is: Lost Tribe of the Sith #1: Precipice, for free on Borders.com. (via) And yes, Sue Rostoni did confirm that it is for real yesterday, in case the PDF isn’t proof enough.

If nothing else, there’s a Sith-centric Fate of the Jedi: Omen preview in there, starting on page 31.

Comic old, comics new: Sneak peek at new KOTOR, taking in all of Vector

Editor Dave Marshall talks a wee bit about Knights Of The Old Republic #37, plus a nine page preview. (Alas, the issue didn’t come out yesterday – at least not if you believe Diamond.)

Meanwhile, CBR has John Jackson Miller, John Ostrander, Jan Duursema and Randy Stradley to talk about Vector now that it’s done – and/or the first trade is imminent, depending on your point of view. But the piece does contain spoilers.

EUbits: Stover, Miller & Karpyshyn interviews; Books on sale; awards; contests; previews

Interviews: Matthew Stover talks to SWBooks about Luke Skywalker and the Shadows of Mindor, while John Jackson Miller discusses the Knights of the Old Republic comics at IGN. And finally, Drew Karpyshyn at Lightsabre.
