It’s official – Sean Connery will not be coming out of retirement for the new Indiana Jones movie.
Indy IV does Connecticut
The new Indiana Jones movie will film some scenes in New Haven. (Could Indy be teaching at Yale?) And we have a time period: Local merchants are being asked to make their storefronts look like the ’50’s.
Frank Darabont and the Indy IV rumors
The screenwriter talked to MTV about his nixxed Indy IV script. But this also lead me to the rumors about Darabont’s script having the archaeologist dealing with aliens. As fantastic as a decent Indiana Jones/X-Files crossover maybe/sorta/kinda could be, that’s one thing that’s probably best left to fanfic… Which may indeed be where the rumor originated. Fandom, you so crazy. Never change.
Hobbits, Hulk, and the Eater of Worlds
Sam Raimi tells Entertainment Weekly he’d be up to direct The Hobbit And there’s also some stuff about the Spiderman franchise, which will apparently never end. There’s even going to be a musical! Also, early reviews are showing up for Spider-Man 3 – Beware spoilers!
Edward Norton to play The Hulk; America probably just better off renting Fight Club. Seriously now, Scriptwriter Zak Penn talks Hulk, Norton, and the Avengers.
The Rumor mill
- Fantastic Four: The voice of Galactus?
- Indy IV: Sala written out in favor of ‘younger cast?’
- The Dark Knight: A scarier Joker?
Big news: LaBeouf is in for Indy IV
Movie News: Indy, Batman, Supes, Drew
Sean Connery ‘considering’ Indy IV. Speaking of sorta maybe Indy stuff, be warned that Indy rumor-ridden young actor Shia LaBeouf will be hosting this Saturday’s Saturday Night Live. Indiana Jones jokes are likely!
In other rumor news, could Orlando Bloom be considering a role in the sequel to Superman Returns? I’m not feeling it.
Harvey Dent is appearing in The Dark Knight but his alter ego Two-Face is less likely.
And enough about that – I both kind of want to see and yet dread the Nancy Drew movie, but here’s some pictures to get the preteens excited.
And lastly The Voyage of the Dawn Treader may have found a director. Don’t screw it up, Hollywood – it’s my favorite. (Irony!)
You’re never too old to rock n’ roll
Indy’s not too old to be doing chases on horseback or in cars, says the man who, at nearly the same age as Harrison Ford, is about to take part in his annual charity race for Toyota.
You tell ’em, George!

More Indy IV casting
Ray Winstone is the latest addition to the Indy IV cast, says the The Hollywood Reporter. Their sources say Winstone will play “Harrison Ford’s sidekick.”
Rumor Mill: Indy IV title?
Latest Indy IV rumor knocking around is that the film’s title may be Indiana Jones And The City Of Gods.
Rumor Mill: Indy IV, Clone Wars
Entertainment Geekly has a ‘Spy Report’ from Lucasfilm regarding Indy IV and the Clone Wars TV show. Possible spoilers in a very general sense, but: Three new Star Wars TV shows? Riiight.
As always, remember: anything you read on some random site is very likely total bunk. Consider this: there was a Snuffleupagus in my kitchen last night. He drank all my tequila. Now those are COLD HARD INTERNET FACTS.
