The Completely Unofficial Star Wars Encyclopedia is striking out on its own. A favorite resource of many Wookieepedians and fanfic writers, the Encyclopedia seems to have outgrown the capabilities of TheForce.net. Enjoy freedom!

Wank? On TFN? Unthinkable!
A thread on Jacen Solo’s behavior in the Dark Nest trilogy makes Fandom Wank. Bless Narcissam and the anonymice for making it through all this, because I’m getting a headache just reading the digest version.
Wookieepedia
A great find from Deet:
Many of you may be familiar with the idea of a wiki. It’s an open-source, community-driven and produced encyclopedia-like site that draws on the knowledge of the general public. The most prevalent example is the Wikipedia, a site which not only has become a go-to starting point for information seekers but has also evolved into a great source for news.
Well there is now a wiki-powered resource for all things Star Wars. The Wookieepedia (an excellent name) is your all-inclusive site for everything you might need to know. All aspects of the Star Wars universe are covered, from the movies, the novels and even the Marvel Comics series. One of the great things about wikis is their power to connect events, and in the case of Star Wars that’s a great thing to have at your hands. An event from a recent book might have been related to something that happened in a comic book years ago. The events might not connect to you, but someone here has it covered.

TFNish Thread of the Week
There’s a lovely TheForce.Net flamefest regarding clones and numbers in the EU that ended up on Fandom Wank this weekend… Where it is unmercifully mocked. And you all know how much I love the mocking: I can’t help but share.
Warning: Not for the sensitive, faint-hearted, or anyone offended by mention of Jedi having sex. Fandom Wankers are notoriously distracted by the possibility of Ewan getting it on.
TFN Thread of the Week
The Church of Waru. There are people on TFN who have a sense of humor! A hundred and thirty five pages worth! Okay, so it’s mostly a chat thread… Still! Praise Waru!
TFN Thread of the Week
What is Mara Jade’s Canon Length of a SSD in Vergere’s Potentium? If you’ve ever spent any time at all on an Expanded Universe forum, this is hilarious. Although sadly the thread on the whole fails to live up to the title when people actually start taking things semi-seriously. Oh TFN, will you ever change?
TFN Thread of the Week
Is Kevin J. Anderson a Scientologist? Is he? Isn’t he? Doesn’t really matter. But the thread title caused me to laugh maniacally, and that’s more than enough reason to link.
Review: TFN Podcast on Upcoming Book Releases
Let me say this is my first podcast, and only third (I think) venture into the world of fan audio. But with the latest version of iTunes, getting a podcast has become a no-brainer, so I thought I’d give it a try.

Academia lives in the GFFA
Literary analysis. Scholarly essays. Academic review.
If all of that makes your heart beat faster (with joy, not fear), have we got the website for you! A group of fans have just started a very promising looking online journal entitled Saga Journal.
Here’s the skinny:
Here at the Saga Journal, we believe Star Wars is more than just an enjoyable space opera set in a galaxy far, far away. We recognize it as a modern myth, a cultural phenomenon all its own. We want to encourage the literary exploration of all aspects of the story as presented in the Prequel and Original Trilogy films.
And, yes, they are seeking submissions.
