It’s no Jar Jar lollipop (what is?) but the Darth Vader shower head is still delightfully weird. There’s an Artoo version as well, naturally.
Rumor: Will we be seeing Darth Vader in Rogue One? The sequel trilogy?
Making Star Wars has two pieces of Vader gossip today. One involves Rogue One and may be surprising. (Or not.) The other involves…
Run away, spoiler fraidy-cats.

Everybody go home, there are Star Wars Trapper Keepers
Could it get any more 80s than Artoo and Darth Vader themed Trapper Keepers? Now, I went to a Catholic school that actually outlawed Trapper Keepers during the decade, so I never actually got to have one until the mid-90s… Only to promptly discover that they were kind of annoying to actually use. Still, it’s hard to deny the appeal of these. (via)
There’s a third one with multiple characters on it, but sorry Mead, it’s kind of lame.
“Darth Vader” adopts part of Virginia highway
“Darth Vader” adopts part of Virginia highway. Bus driver Henry Wakley used the Vader name to get more attention for the Adopt-a-Highway program. (h/t Diane)
Rebels Recon: ‘The Siege of Lothal’
‘The Siege of Lothal’ aired tonight, and in Rebels Recon Pablo Hidalgo and Dave Filoni answer a couple of questions about the status of the Rebellion, Ezra’s birthday vs. Luke and Leia’s and stormtrooper armor. Plus, Filoni says a little about the rest of the season, including a preview. (Still just “fall,” though.)
Rebels watch: Another look at Season 2
With the premiere on Saturday, we got a big helping of Rebels yesterday, and a few more things today. First up, another video with cast and crew looking ahead, with Simon Kinberg saying this season has more of an Empire Strikes Back feel.
There’s more with Kinberg at Entertainment Weekly, where he talks Vader.
Darth Vader wins This Is Madness
Darth Vader finally won This Is Madness on his third trip to the final bracket, defeating last year’s champ, Obi-Wan. Here’s hoping The Force Awakens really does a number on fandom next year, because when the most exciting thing that happens in the brackets is a Jar Jar cheating scandal, things may need shaking up.
How much does the galaxy know about Darth Vader in the new canon?
There are several issues with the old Expanded Universe that I was hopeful would be addressed in the new Star Wars canon, and chief among them is how much the general public knew about Darth Vader and his connection to the Skywalkers.
When the EU started in earnest in the early ’90s, Vader’s identity as Anakin Skywalker and his relation to Luke Skywalker and Leia Organa was still a secret: It’s actually a huge plot point throughout Timothy Zahn’s Thrawn trilogy. But as the EU, um, expanded, it became less and less so, until it was just public knowledge not only that Darth Vader was Anakin Skywalker, but that both Luke and Leia were his kids. It doesn’t seem like it was ever planned or addressed: It just happened, and the full implications were almost never addressed. Such were the early days of continuity. But with the old EU now set aside as Legends, how much does the galaxy actually know?
We might already have an answer.

Rebels S1 is a wrap: Fulcrum revealed
Fulcrum was revealed in last night’s ‘Fire Across the Galaxy,’ and this is the last post where I’m going to dance around that. In ‘Rebels Recon’ they talk about the returning characters, and give us a peek at Rebels S2.
Meanwhile, at USA Today, Dave Filoni and the voice actor talk about the reveal, and of course there are going to be action figures, though both Vader and Fulcrum will be “used sparingly.”
If you want something NOW, of course there’s a t-shirt designed by Dave Filoni.
A familiar face shows up for the Rebels finale
Lucasfilm has confirmed that Darth Vader himself will be showing up for the Rebels season finale, as previously rumored. Of course, the bigger – and more shocking, if it plays out – part of said rumor is still under lock and key, officially.
You get a brief glimpse of him here:
Vader has already appeared on the show once, in holograph form, an extra scene added when ‘Spark of Rebellion’ aired on ABC.
The Rebels season finale, ‘Fire Across the Galaxy,’ will debut Monday, March 2, on Disney XD.
