Since Star Wars Day is coming up later this week, let’s kick May off with a contest! Chronicle Books recently released a Star Wars Notebook Collection to celebrate the 40th anniversary of A New Hope. This three-pack of blank lined notebooks features iconic ANH artwork on the front, back, and inside covers, as well as spot quotations throughout the notebooks. Each notebook has about 60 pages, and is 6 x 8.5 in. Perfect for keeping a journal while you’re waiting for some escaped droids to show up and start you on your hero’s journey. Back to week 47: I wear a variety of shirts, including an Adidas soccer jersey, and a Disney Cast Member exclusive stormtrooper helmet schematic tee. For this stretch of my fundraising campaign for Collateral Repair Project, we give thanks for a bunch of fine folks who lent me some wear this week, including Dani, Lori, Russell, and Trina. Plus a shirt I bought as a fundraiser for Make-A-Wish through the 501st Legion, so now it’s doing double duty! But sadly no donations in this time frame – makes for a sad turkey!

Since August is not known for its holidays, I turned the last week of August into the #WearStarWarsEveryDay events and holidays week, celebrating some fun fan events and some random holidays, none of which are in August! Plus we have some nice donations to report! Big thanks to Jennifer, Ian, Tim, and an anonymous donor for helping us raise over $80 in the past week, pushing us up to almost $2,600 raised for Collateral Repair Project.
Thanks to Trina for her donation of a St. Patrick’s Day Star Wars shirt! Also, thanks to everyone who has lent me apparel seen this week: Anastasia, Mark, Christian, Dartanian, James, and Paul!
