Fan Film Awards
The Awards were presented at Comic Con last night. Shane Felux’s Pitching Lucas won both George Lucas Selects and the Audience Choice Award – a first, I think. Other winners include Michael Q. Yowhan’s Memoirs of a Padawan, Brian Silva’s Sith’d, and William Grammer’s Blue Milk.

The Empire scores big at The Empire Movie Awards
The Empire Movie Awards were announced, last night. Star Wars finally won some awards that didn’t involve a Razzie.
Love or hate the Frankenstein tribute, the Birth of Darth Vader won Scene of the Year.
Revenge of the Sith also won for Best Sci-Fi/Fantasy Film of the Year. (There’s even a little video message from George, in acknowledgement.)

ILM receives National Medal of Technology
President Bush awarded the National Medal of Technology to Industrial Light & Magic today. George Lucas and ILM president Chrissie England were on hand to accept the honor.
