Which means it’s time for our first(ish) look at this year’s Hallmark ornaments You can download the Dreambook 2007 in PDF form. No Star Wars mini ornaments this year, but bringing back them back was a common request the Hallmark booth heard at C4, say our sources. (Thanks to Rach and Diane.)
More Web Shows Coming
Still no word from its creator as to whether or not Sanctuary has done well enough to support itself. (Only two episodes in, though, so it might be too soon to say.)
But Damian Kindler does have ideas for two more web-based productions.
Start saving up for those bigger monitors!
Star Wars cakes – again
Who needs superweapons and Star Destroyers when you can have Max Rebo? Including… Cakefight!
Taking the action east
Some of us haven’t quite recovered from C4 yet (sorry, blog fans) but for those who couldn’t go, or were aching for more, last weekend saw this year’s first Star Wars Weekend at Disneyworld. However I must admit I find Mickey in X-Wing getup a bit odd – is he going to blow up Epcot?
Time to take a stand
The new season of The 4400 starts next week. To get you back in the mood, USA has put up websites that are Pro-Promicin and Anti-Promicin.
If you can’t decide where you stand (or, let’s face it, if it’s been too long for you to remember where you stand), then there’s a nice summary site to help you along.
I don’t know. If I could develop the ability to predict the Lottery, it might be worth taking the Promicin!
Star Wars is Nerdy?!
Say it ain’t so!
Dov Kelemer, organizer of The Vader Project, thinks that Star Wars is becoming nerdy: “Because you stay Star Trek and there’s just such a stigma, and I don’t want that to happen to Star Wars, so I’m doing my best to keep it relevant and keep it fun.”
Um. Okay. Either way, a brilliant show.
Go, Speed Racer, Go!
One could argue whether or not this is really anime or even closely related to sci-fi in any sort of way, but it does hold some fond memories for many CJers.
The Speed Racer movie is finally beginning production and is expected to be released in May of next year.
Gee, Trixie. Do you think it’ll be any good?
Vader is Luke’s father! Snape kills Dumbledore! It was Earth all along!
Enough firepower to take down a Weight Watchers
Charm City Cakes (as seen on the tv show Ace of Cakes) made a Star Destroyer cake for some fans. Wonder if it’ll ever appear on TV? (They’ve also done a Death Star cake, I believe for this same group, which far as I know hasn’t graced their show.)
Hey look! A blogathon!
More than enough Star Wars entries to make the Monday blues go away. Or make your post-con depression come back. Whatever!
