The Jedi Council’s top 100 EU Works

The Jedi Council (aka TFN) Literature Board counts down their hundred favorite bits of the Expanded Universe. Counting not only novels and comics but short stories and video games, the results are rather fascinating. Not that I would take it as anything more than representative of the community that created it… TFNers are strange folk.

You can read the list in context on the boards, but note that the results were posted over several days, and the thread has ballooned, as they tend to do. I’ve the top 20 below the cut.

What about Fanboys again?

In addition to being pushed back, there are rumors floating around that there’s a re-edit of film where any mention of ‘cancer’ is being cut out, which completely changes the tone of the movie from a bunch of folks trying to do something nice (albeit illegally) for a dying friend to a bunch of selfish punks who just want to steal a movie for the sake of stealing a movie. Hollywood masterminds at work, or underhanded campaign to get the internet fans all riled up? Only time will tell. (via)

Terminators rule the ratings

The premiere of The Sarah Connor Chronicles did very well last night: it can boast having “the best opening night demo ratings of any new show in three years,” according to Variety. Not too shabby, but fans best hope a good chunk of that audience keeps showing up, given the show is on Fox.
