ILM visual effects supervisor John Knoll will be at a NASA press conference on Thursday. The presser is regarding a discovery made by the Kepler misson.
Kepler is the first NASA mission capable of finding Earth-size planets in or near the “habitable zone,” the region in a planetary system where liquid water can exist on the surface of the orbiting planet.
What could it be?
Having an ILM effects wizard on a panel – do the moon landing hoaxers think this plays into their conspiracy theories, or is he there to help debunk it. or did they just use ILM to do some visualizations of what they found?
remember, last year, NASA went for a big fanfare with their discovery of the potential of arsenic-based life in Mono Lake, and this was ripped apart by the scientific community as being poorly done science.
Theory pooper.
I think that John Knoll should answer all his questions using quotes from Star Wars. Bonus 3 points if he uses only quotes from non-human characters. Extra bonus if he calls the NASA folks “Sky Guy”
No one should be called “Sky Guy.” Ever.
I’ve been disappointed in press conferences ever since Obama announced he killed Bin Laden. I wanted aliens, dammit!
