I’m sorry. I even know one of the women pictured there. But I HATE the whole concept of Femtroopers.
I know that many defend it as women taking it over by making their own “statement.” I see it as women making themselves into objects.
My own opinion, though.
They’re better than the slave Leias when it comes to objectification, IMO. Maybe because it’s still something of a novelty.
We’ve got at least one instance of a canon female stormtrooper in an upcoming issue of the Legacy comic, so we might be seeing a more standard interpretation (at least, without the midrifs) by C4.
