Fan art: Star Wars alphabet stylings, continued
We featured the Star Wars ABCs of Michael Fleming last year, but he was only up to E or so then. Now the whole thing is finished, and it’s adorable!
Videos: Videogum’s ten best lightsaber mashups
We’ve featured at least one of these before (not The Princess Bride) but who cares? It’s a bunch of geek classic movies (mostly) with lightsabers added. Go forth and enjoy. (via)
Rumor: KOTOR MMO in 2010?
Yes, it’s time for our latest installment in the saga of the KOTOR MMO that may or may not exist! (via)
Holy crap! Lego Death Star is freaking sweet!
…It comes with 20 minifigs and makes me type like a fanboy. Wow. (via)
Star Wars second on AFI’s top 10 sci-fi
Those crazy list-making folks at the American Film Institute have placed A New Hope in second place on their list of the top 10 science fiction films. Click through to see the original trailer and some clips of James Earl Jones talking about the film.
The top spot goes to 2001, with E.T., A Clockwork Orange, The Day the Earth Stood Still, Blade Runner, Alien, Terminator 2, the original Invasion of the Body Snatchers and Back to the Future rounding out the choices.
There’s a fantasy list as well, which includes The Wizard of Oz, Fellowship of the Ring, and King Kong.

Well, something is happening on StarWars.com
Just another Clone Wars Flash front piece, though… It’s pretty extensive, with actual content, including some pretty nice galleries (TFN spotted a pink R2,) a sharpshooter game, and more ‘coming soon’… But if you’re hoping for something other than The Clone Wars, no cigarra. Still, at least now we know they’re not just sitting around playing the new Grand Theft Auto.
I wouldn’t click that link at work, though – at least not before you mute your speakers.
The fandom minute: Revenge comic, new KOTOR site, cheap-ass lightsabers, Boba Fett
Flashback: 14-year old Dave Lowe’s Revenge of the Jedi fan comic from 1980. There’s Luke/Leia kissing and sleeveless Vader! (via) In a more professional capacity, he also did some work for a Sci-Fi Channel Star Wars marathon back in 1993.
- Fan sites: MizzeeOh, we we know as a contributer over at EUC, has launched a new KOTOR site, Carbonite Dreams.
- Howto: A cheap custom lightsaber at Instructables.
- Lists: Topless Robot places Boba Fett in the #1 spot in their list of the 10 most awesome characters ruined by fans. Can I get an amen? (The real shocker of the article: Sonic the Hedgehog has fans?)
Theory: A new StarWars.com?
EU Cantina has video of Steve’s presentation at Disney World this weekend. He also talks about Skywalker Ranch, the Presidio, The Force Unleashed, and of course, a lot about The Clone Wars.
He briefly mention StarWars.com and ‘some changes…’ Does that, combined with the site’s recent radio silence (the last news item is dated May 29th, and even blogging has been sparse) mean the site is getting a real overhaul, as opposed to just another Flash splash page?
Just don’t make it all in Flash, please…
