There’s a lot of action-figure stop motion out there, but this Flashdance mashup from Patrick Boivin is seriously top notch. (via)

StarWars.com redesigns, streamlines
They were redesigning. Sneaky, sneaky… I had a few issues with the site last night, viewing it on a computer with an older version of Flash (hey, I’d upgrade if I could) but those are all pretty much gone now. It’s a vast improvement over the random Flash-and-planets front that they’ve been sporting since C4, and a lot more dynamic. Several sections are also sporting the new design, including news posts and Databank. (I do miss having a dedicated news page, but there’s always the archives.)
And from this end, at least, it seems the launch went fairly smoothly. (We had some ‘page not found’ errors last night, but they seem to have cleared up.)
(Mostly) complete screenshot is under the cut for posterity. Continue reading “StarWars.com redesigns, streamlines”

Toys “R” Us counts down for The Clone Wars
The Clone Wars is in the New York Times yet again, as they take a look at the the merchandising of the animated film. Digital clocks in all 585 Toys “R” Us stores will countdown to July 26, when 225 of them will host a midnight release. That old Happy Meal rumor is confirmed, and they also talk to Target and KB reps.
Because, as well know – it’s really all about the toys.
Metal bikini? Iconic? You don’t say…
Oh, Entertainment Weekly. Even the dinkiest comic convention these days has something like half a dozen girls (and maybe a particularly hairy man if you’re really unlucky) decked out in the thing. We know.
Polls: Continuity results, Jedi Twilight
The results of our continuity poll are in, and it reveals that most of CJ’s readers ( a whooping 54%) are of the school that doesn’t sweat the small stuff, while 27% of you care quite a bit, 11% of you don’t really care much as long as the major stuff is consistant, and only 8% of you turn an extremely selective eye upon the process. Yay?
Our new poll is about the latest release, Jedi Twilight, first book of the Coruscant Nights trilogy. Weigh in on the sidebar or under the cut – it’ll stick around until July 13th. Continue reading “Polls: Continuity results, Jedi Twilight“
