The Shondaland crew (Grey’s Anatomy, Scandal, and How to Get Away With Murder) will have “An exclusive special look” at The Force Awakens this coming Thursday.
Daniel put up an amazing fight to the very end. He is now one with God and with the force. He passed in his sleep and in peace. He will always be my idol and my hero. Please hug uncle Marc for me and give Lucy lots of kisses. Rest in peace my love.
Ashley is still raising money for Daniel’s medical bills on GoFundMe. The fund is now up to $57K – more than half of what’s needed.
Well, it’s finally official: Star Wars Weekends are no more. The event first appeared in 1997, continued in 2000 and 2001 and has been held annually over several weekends in May and June since 2003 at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. But with the park soon to undergo expansion – and a whole Star Wars area – the retirement is completely understandable.
Speaking of new stuff, Star Tours is getting a new addition: Jakku. If you go on the ride during “the opening months,” you’re guaranteed to get it; After that, it goes in the randomizer. There’s also a “reimagined Jedi Training experience” that will feature both Darth Vader and the Seventh Sister from Rebels. All this, plus the Launch Bay with The Force Awakens exhibits, will debut on December 1.
Rey costumers, this one is for you: Allure talked to The Force Awakens’ makeup department head Amanda Knight and hair designer Lisa Tomblin. Sunscreen!
There’s a rumor that Gina Rodriguez (Jane the Virgin) got one of those (rumored) Episode VIII roles, but it’s based on Rian Johnson and John Boyega following her on Twitter, which, okay. To be fair, plenty of us read a random Rian Johnson tweet as a hint towards Gugu Mbatha-Raw, so maybe there’s something to it after all. Verdict: Maybe!
There’s another rumor going around regarding Finn’s last name. I won’t even link anyone who’s running it because it’s based on an unofficial description from a third-party Amazon listing, and shockingly, that is nowhere near a sound source. Verdict: Ha ha, no.
In a new interview with Wired, The Force Awakens director J.J. Abrams talks about Star Wars in general, keeping secrets, the Millennium Falcon “changing hands,” and how the previous films succeeded and influenced the new. It’s today’s must-read (so far.)
…Or International trailer, whatever we’re calling it. The focus here is on Rey, BB-8 and Kylo Ren’s broadsaber, or in other words: A cute girl, A cute robot and a crazy-ass weapon. It’s not as evocative as the last trailer, and it seems much choppier, but there is a lot of new footage here for us to pour over.
