According to IGN’s Gerry Block, the company has had direct information that Nintendo will not allow the licensing of any bat like attachments for the Wiimote such as a lightsaber due to safety concerns. So therefore, Lucas Arts will not be able to release its own Official lightsaber add-on for the forthcoming Star Wars game.
That’s harsh, man. Harsh. Think of the poor children who now be forced to play with their toy lightsabers outside!

The internets are going apeshit over the news that Vader and Yoda will appear in Namco Bandai ‘s Soul Calibur IV. (Vader will appear on the Playstation 3 version, while Yoda graces the Xbox 360s.) The official site has the press release, and 1up has screen shots and a trailer.
LucasArts at the Consumer Electronics Show. They’re showing off two games: The Force Unleashed and Fracture, as well as the new tech that powers them both.

“A source close to BioWare” has confirmed to primotechnology.com the rumors that the game studio is working on a massively-multiplayer online Knights of the Old Republic RPG. It’s still a rumor as far as we’re concerned, but it’s a happy sign for the KOTOR era’s many fans. (via)
It’s entirely possible that it’s just me, but I’m a little surprised to see that the ‘limited edition Darth Vader PSP’ is so chintzy-looking. An off-balance silkscreened Vader? It’s not even black. Whatever, man.
