So the internet (or at least what I’ve caught in my box-surrounded haze) has been buzzing about this bit out of Sansweet’s presentation at C2E2, as reported by IGN:
During the Q&A section of the panel, a fan said, “I would really love to see new adventures after Jedi with our favorite characters Luke, Han and Leia,” to which Sansweet replied, “And you will, in the new animation.”
Sansweet told the Forcecast that he’s “in the dark,” but guesses that the comedy show may be “a mix” of the different eras. Stand down, canon savants: For one, it’s too early to tell, and for another IT’S THE COMEDY SHOW. Save your dignity and keep the pearl-clutching in reserve.
As for the comedy show and the ‘Squishies’ rumor, Sansweet did imply there is a connection, but said “How it develops, we don’t know.”

There will be lines for panels. There is no avoiding the lines: There’ll even be a line to get in in the morning. There will be lines to get into the exhibit hall when it first opens. Lines are a Star Wars tradition; Realize that they will happen, and that you will have to stand in them. (There are Medical Badges available to those who need them.)
The good news is that rooms are cleared between panels, so don’t plan to spend the entire day in one place ala San Diego Comic-Con.
Check in early (at least an hour) if you plan to see any big stars.
Some of the lines will be long; It entirely depends on the popularity of the panel. There is no doubt that the longest line at Celebration Anaheim will be the one for J.J. Abrams and Kathleen Kennedy on Thursday morning, and we already have all the details on that. Expect something similar, if lower key, for things like Gareth Edwards and Josh Trank on Sunday.
The next longest lines will likely be for celebrity panels and screenings; Plan to queue up at least an hour ahead of time for those, and be aware they will close off the queue if it gets full. Be sure to pick backups for the big events, just in case.
Most smaller panels for things like books will have much smaller queues; Give yourself time, but historically you can show up as early as 10 minutes beforehand and still get in the room.
However, Anaheim is looking like it could be the biggest Celebration yet, so it’s hard to say exactly how things will shape up. Many of the rooms, particularly the theater, are bigger than what we’ve seen in the past, though. Whatever the case, keep your eyes open, plan to be early, and have something on hand to amuse yourself and your friends if you need to wait.

Randy Stradley and company are in San Francisco for Wondercon, and naturally Star Wars came up. Randy talked extensively about the next Invasion arc, and had this to say about Legacy:
Stradley noted that the recent issues of “Star Wars: Legacy” have brought readers to the “tipping point” where Cade Skywalker puts aside his life as a bounty hunter to fight the Sith. “In the next few months, you’re going to see how that comes together, and really how his involvement spurs so much that happens in the galaxy. I don’t even want to get into all the stuff that’s going on. But we’ve got a big surprise coming, and if you thought the end of the current issue was a big surprise, then you really haven’t seen anything yet.”
Hrm. I have yet to pick up the new issue, but the series is in dire need of a serious game-changer for Cade. Bring it on!
There are a limited number of packages avaliable: 250 ‘Jedi Knight’ for #350 and 50 ‘Jedi Master’ for $750. Both come with early entrance, access, store discounts, reserved seating and a special concierge lounge. The ‘Master’ package features a private meet and greet with and original art from Dave Filoni, as well as a ‘personal shopper.’ (Sadly, not someone who will follow you around the floor and carry your purchases.)
The packages will go on sale in “the very near future,” with those already having badges getting an email notice today to set up a “live time” to purchase.
The list of Celebration V exhibitors came out over the weekend (okay, on Friday) and contains most of the usual suspects: Licenses, vendors, more venders… Browncoats? For our particular focus, we can point out Random House and DK… But no Dark Horse? Sideshow? Odd…
E! Online reports that Joss Whedon and Morgan Spurlock (director of Super Size Me) are teaming up to create a documentary about diehard fans as they gear up, geek out, and attend Comic-Con. Although if they are looking for fans to follow around, they’d better put out a casting call soon.
Last week, prices on the Celebration V tickets went up – an extra $8 on the four-day pass, and $4 on everything else – and today Reed’s Lance Fensterman has a reason: State and local taxes. However, there are two bits of good news here: Folks who’ve already purchased tickets don’t have to pay the extra (Reed will take care of it: Think of it as an early bird special?) and there’s no sliding scale, so the online prices won’t raise until the convention begins and the on-site prices kick in. (That’s an additional $17 on a four-day pass, so you’re still saving by buying early.)
