Today is the day for Robot Chicken: Star Wars – Episode II DVDs! Hooray! Nothing out Wednesday but the Menace Revealed omnibus. Or..?
See, while StarWars.com and the various bookseller sites are telling me The Art of Star Wars: The Clone Wars won’t be out until fall, Diamond has it listed for Wednesday (twice: both versions?) under merchandise which means, presumably, coming to a comic store near you (if they ordered it.) Just for Comic-Con? Perhaps…

A five-thousand-year-old dreadnaught — bringing with it a full force of Sith and one lone Jedi — has inadvertently catapulted eons from the past into the present. The ship’s weapons may not be cutting-edge, but its cargo, a special ore that makes those who use the dark side nearly invincible, is unsurpassed. The ancient Jedi on board is determined to destroy the Sith. But for Jaden, even more is at stake: for his vision has led him to uncover a potentially indestructible threat to everything the Jedi Order stands for.
The book is scheduled for January 26.
StarWars.com has Dark Horse’s solicitations for October, including Invasion #4 and #0 (which reprints the StarWars.com previews with six new pages,) Knights of the Old Republic #46, a Mando-fanboy pleasing Legacy #41 and Legacy Volume 7.

Let’s hear it for comics! This week, Wednesday will bring The Clone Wars #7 and Knights of the Old Republic #43, both the beginnings of new storylines.
Friends of Ostrander, who counts scripting the Star Wars comics Republic and Legacy among his accomplishments, are holding a charity auction at the Chicago Comic-Con to help with costs for some hefty eye surguries, as well as a site for direct donations.
Well, first off, Aaron has updated his Livejournal again with some details on his progress.
And as for the helping out part, there is now another event to help raise funds: The Fandom Association of Central Texas is holding a fundraiser and auction for the Aaron Allston Donation Fund next weekend. Don’t forget about the Indy Knights Breakfast during GenCon, or making a direct donation!
Something to add to those Episode VII wish lists… Jaina Solo makes io9’s list of the most badass female space pilots of all time. It’s a damn shame we never got anyone in the movies who qualifies…

We got the general Star Wars event schedule earlier in the week, but now StarWars.com gives us Del Rey’s, including some signings and giveaways like a double-sided Fate of the Jedi/Deathtroopers poster, above. (Far more tempting is the possibility of getting free copies of The Essential Atlas, The Complete Vader and The Complete Star Wars Encyclopedia)
StarWars.com will be uploading a second Lost Tribe of the Sith eBook, Skyborn by John Jackson Miller, on July 21. The book will contain an excerpt of August’s Fate of the Jedi: Abyss.
