Interview with Timothy Zahn from the Del Rey Internet Newsletter. Thanks Rosemary!
Two months to Legacy comic
Dark Horse is soliciting Legacy #0 in the new Previews. There’s nothing in the mag that we haven’t already seen, but this is a good time to get your local comic shop to put you on the hold list.
For those unfamiliar with the industry, Previews is the catalog for Diamond, the largest comic book distributor in North America. What’s solicited in Previews (usually) ships two months later. That means that comic shops are ordering for May 2006 now.
‘Braveheart’ style? Oh dear…
Kristen Bell talks about Veronica Mars with AOL. Mentions Fanboys:
It’s kind of like ‘Swingers’ for nerds because it’s about these four awesome guys who are ‘Star Wars’-obsessed and they drive cross-country to break into [George] Lucas’ ranch to steal the final episode. It’s so funny. There’s a scene where there’s a full-on war between Trekkies and the ‘Star Wars’ kids, ‘Braveheart’ style. I’ll be shooting on the weekends for six weeks. It’s going to be a big workload, but I wasn’t willing to turn the part down because it was such a great script.
Spielberg on Indy 4
In an interview with Israeli newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth:
“I am about to make “Indiana Jones 4″, which is, as far as I am concerned, the sweet dessert I give those who had to chow down on the bitter herbs that I’ve used in Munich.”

Been there, seen that?
Ron gets no respect
Kill Harry is a fun anime-style comic that crosses over Harry Potter with Kill Bill, with cameos from Bender, Bruce Campbell and Zombie Rick James. (Bitch.) Surprisingly entertaining, though there’s some possibly objectionable content. (via MeFi)
The truth about lightsabers
The Exploration Network looks at what it would take to build a working lightsaber of plasma or light. They also look at a few of CJ’s favorite things – superlasers and planet blasting.
An extended Kong?
Oh, Peter Jackson. We’ll sit 4-hour adaptions of large tomes of fantasy, sure. Four hours of giant ape? Not so much.
Gimme that old four-color religion
The Religious Affiliation of Comic Book Characters. Very interesting site; I particularly like that J. Jonah Jameson’s faith is hating Spider-Man. (Thanks Missi!)
Been there, done that
Star Wars: The Empire Brokeback. Pssh. Threepio/Artoo is so 2005.
