Laga’aia talking to Lucas about live-action role?

Jay Laga’aia (Captain Typho) has told New Zealand’s Dominion Post that he has talked with George Lucas about a role in the live-action TV show which officially isn’t casting at all. Here’s a quote from the article, which appears on stuff.co.nz but not the Post’s actual web site:

“It’s one of those things that people sort of take for granted you worked on the first one, so … we’re in discussion at the moment because I’m interested in playing a couple of roles.

“You find with those sort of roles you can play different characters some are heavily made up, others aren’t.”

This whole situation is more than a little fishy, so I wouldn’t take it for granted just yet… (via)

Mace Windu is like the Christian Bale of Star Wars… he can do anything in the world except smile. Don’t get me wrong, it works for him. While Obi-Wan and Anakin seem to get their jollies by slicing and dicing through droid armies, Mace knows that just because you’re good at creating carnage doesn’t mean you have to enjoy it. So it’s appropriate that his big spotlight turns out to be the most solemn episode yet. The Clone Wars: Mace Windu, Catcher in the Ryloth!

StarWars.com has a couple updates related to last Friday’s episode of The Clone Wars: “Liberty on Ryloth”, wrapping up the three-part Ryloth arc. Mace Windu teamed up with a Twi’lek resistance leader, Cham Syndulla, to help overtake the Separatists controlling the capital. Here’s a few tidbits to hold you over until the Club Jade review gets posted:

Counting down for Battlestar Galactica

As the two-hour series finale of Battlestar Galactica approaches this Friday, SciFi Channel brings us “The Last Frakkin’ Special” tonight (10 PM ET/PT and rebroadcast a lot this week). Hollywood.com puts it on the Do It Today notice. Want to find Cylons in your midst?
