Sith Wedding, by illustrator Leo Lingas, is a riff on the classic Arnolfini Portrait by Jan van Eyck.

Can’t get enough of that wonderful… lists?
First off, A New Hope tops Slashfilm’s top ten greatest movie endings. Congratulations, Leni Riefenstahl!
Then, George Lucas makes Total Film’s list of the greatest directors ever. At #95. Well… umm… he did beat M. Night Shyamalan and Baz Luhrmann. Yay?
And to round us off, Cinematical recommends American Graffiti/Dazed and Confused double feature. Aww!
There is no Scotty!
According to James McAvoy’s agent, he’s not playing Scotty in the new Trek. Yeah, we’ve never heard that one before or anything.
Yet More X-Files Movie Gossip
So this time, not only is there rumored to be a script in the works, but David Duchovny has actually read it. In related news, Mr. Duchovny is rumored to still be almost as hot as he was when his popular TV series went off the air.

The Ultimate Mac vs PC Battle. I hate to say it, but does Vista’s obvious passivity make it the Jedi? (via TFN)
Young Indy DVD box art released
TVShowsOnDVD.com has got the box art for Volume 1 of the Young Indiana Jones Chronicles, which are now apparently being called The Adventures of Young Indiana Jones. I guess if they could re-name Raiders of the Lost Ark to include Indy’s name, we might have expected the re-naming of the Young Indy show to include “Adventure.”
Coming out October 23rd!
Chris Judge Rages On
Stargate SG-1 actor Christopher Judge has succeeded in getting his new show Rage of Angels piloted by MGM. Plans are for Chris to be the lead (which he hopes will help to push racial barriers) and have SG-1 mate Michael Shanks playing the villain. (via)
We also wish him good luck with his current attempt to quit smoking.
Cloud City in reverse
From Japan (naturally) comes the X-Seed 4000, a mountain-shaped tower that if built would be the world’s tallest building. And although they compare it to Mt. Doom at the link, I’m seeing more of a sci-fi influence. Not that it’s not totally creepy, mind. (via notcot)
Movie News: Americas Next Big SuperFlop
The big news this week seems to IESB’s report that a Justice League of America movie has been fast-tracked by Warner Bros. Ryan Reynolds has been talking up The Flash, but Christian Bale pleads ignorance. A Justice League without Batman? The fanboys will love it!
Michael Bay’s hissyfits, let me show you them
- Wait wait wait, Anthony Michael Hall is in The Dark Knight? Possible spoilers.
- They are remaking Logan’s Run. You just can’t keep rewarmed crap down.
- Rose McGowen to play Barbarella? See above.
- Aliens vs. Predator sequel gets a name. Don’t worry, it’s probably still going to suck.
- Steve Spielberg and Michael Bay pissed about Blu-Ray. Good news, guys: The audience doesn’t care.
- Irvine Welsh talks Trainspotting sequel. Someone musta loved writing that headline. In more promising news for Ewan McGregor fans, the trailer for Cassandra’s Dream is out.
