The other day we learned about a brand new character in the Fate of the Jedi series, by the virtue of her appearance on the cover of the series’ second book, Christie Golden’s Omen. Sue Rostoni revealed her name (Vestara) but naturally, fandom is running random with speculation. Given the book’s blurb, her red eyes, red lightsaber, knife, leather and tattoos, we can feel somewhat confidant in thinking she’s a Sith, but what other role can she possibly play? I’ve given you a few options beneath the cut.

For a moment, I thought you had written “a Batman-style Jedi Academy dropout” and now I’m disappointed because I think that would be way better.
